Review: Exactly what I was looking for and needed. Work great! - I'm sure these could be used for various things or situations where you would need one but I bought mine for my clock. Yes my clock. It has a backlight feature powered by this type of device only mine I left cheapy batteries in it long after they had exhausted their charge. Well went to take them out after changing the clock back and came to find that the batteries had leaked inside the casing causing it to not function even after I put in new batteries. I didn't even think they made such a thing but on a whim checked desertcart and maybe I should have guessed being they have anything and everything that it was highly probable. In any case was excited to see these available and though I only needed one I "think" the two pack either came out to be a better deal or else I decided it was smarter to get the two pack. At least this way if it were to happen again, I will have a spare to replace it if it does. They work great, very pleased. I'm happy to have my backlight on my clock working again too. Thanks!!

**Q: Will it work with 1.2v Nimh batteries?**
A: Yes.  IF you can get them in the holder and the batteries touch the contacts.  I had to shoe-horn NiMH AA's in and modify the contact plates so they would touch the 
 middle battery (+) terminal.

**Q: Can these be used with a single AA battery?**
A: Nope

**Q: Can rechargeable NiMh batteries be used, and what is the current output in amps?**
A: any AA batteries can be used, rechargeable or not. 
As for the output current, it depends on the batteries you're using.

**Q: Is the battery pack waterproof**
A: The battery packs are not waterproof.
