Good at First, then Not So Much.
My husband said he wanted a clapper, so as a fun gift I bought this. I didn’t know it spoke, so that as a huge bonus! It was hilarious. Then came the problems. If my dog got up in the middle of the night? *Lights on* “THE FORCE IS STRONG WITH THIS ONE.” If you’re reading a book, and put your cup on the night stand? *lights out* “YOU UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE DARK SIDE!”It’s quite comical really- but you should know that it’s really finicky and will go off over random noises.Side note: after a while, it seems to not like the clapping anymore. Just random noises lol

Love Darth vader's voice but hate how sensitive it is
I have this behind my bed and sometimes I smack my hand against the bed post...light comes on in the middle of the night. Sometimes I'm putting a remote on nightstand...at 2am...it falls off, bangs against bed...light comes on...sigh..Then we clap loudly twice and if it's not perfect...light....DOES NOT COME ON.....I swear there's a hidden camera inside this unit and someone in a galaxy far far away is laughing his or her but off.

Too sensitive, doesn’t support 3 prong - looks good
Pros:-Looks good - not tacky or cheap looking. Detailed Vader head and looks high quality.-James earl jones voice when turning on and off device. (I wasn’t expecting it to say anything).-definitely sensitive enough - it worksCons:So I think I have it in a terrible place, but others might be planning the same thing. I have it right at my desk, controlling a light that hangs above my desk. It’s way too sensitive and I can’t see an adjustment for sensitivity. It literally turns my light on and off throughout the day. My tv happens to be right next to my desk and noises from tv will trigger it, putting my phone down (if it clicks twice) on my hard desk will trigger it. Anything from the tv (gun shots etc) triggers it, one time my chair triggered it running over an envelope. NOTE - location might be key - my bed is further from the device and I noticed it’s sensitivity level is fine from me clapping over there - I even have to do it twice sometimes, so I think the lesson is - don’t have it in a very busy area.-it’s large with only one outlet and they did not make it so you could adjust the angle. It will take up your entire wall outlet - unlike the pic shows.Very important - he only supports a 2 prong plug (so you can’t plug in anything with 3 prongs)OVERALL: I would buy it again - it looks really good and I’m going to run an extension cord to get the unit away from my very busy desk area, but for the price - they should have made the sensitivity and angle adjustable.

Best gift ever!
Greatest thing I've bought myself in a long time. Works great, very entertaining, my house guests still think I'm a geek. It really is nice to be able to turn off the lights in my rooms with a clapper instead of other home automation. I used one of the voice control systems for a while, but it would only work about half the time. As long as I make a good clapping sound (not a golf clap), this works every time. And the voice along with it is just icing on the cake. I wish there were more characters, I would put one in every room.

Very sensitive
It does exactly what it says however slight noises will set it off, like me setting my controller down on the table. Watched a movie and the bass from my sub caused it to go off as well but then I would be about 15’ away and it could not hear my claps...

Exactly what I expected.
Things worth noting:1. You can't turn off the audio voice. It's part of the experience, and you just have to deal with it.2. My dog barks all day long in the same room, he manages to trigger it about once a week. Pretty impressive.3. It has a single 2-prong inlet to control. It's only rated for 200 watts, so it's a good thing it isn't 3-prong capable.4. It slightly covers the top outlet when plugged into the bottom outlet. Pretty annoying, but okay. It looks better taking up the whole outlet anyway.5. If you have a very loud snap, you can snap to activate. Otherwise, expect to clap. I'd say it works 90% of the time for me clapping. We use it to control a string of x-mas lights.

So geeky its cool!
My 20 year old son and I are both fans of Bob Ross. Bob Ross had passed 5 years before my son was even born but my son found videos online and thought it was the coolest thing . . . "a little tree lives here, and let's give him a friend!"What is better than Bob Ross? A Bob Ross nightlight clapper!I knew my son would dig the novelty. Works great and good quality. So geeky its cool.

Great Gift!
Purchased this as a gift for my sister-in-law who is a huge Star Wars fan. We both grew up during the time period when The Clapper was originally all the rage, so it seemed pretty obvious to me that she had to have this. She was over the moon in receiving this gift, and it’s pretty fun to visit her house and get Darth talking and turning the lights on and off with a simple clap of the hands!
