Wife APPROVED and WIFE CAPABLE
I can NOT believe how much better this snow blower works over my HUGE gas snow blower. Finally we found a snow blower that will get all the snow and ice/salt from the end of the driveway and snow plow craziness. My wife will be doing the driveway for several months while I have a knee replacement. She couldn't handle the weight of the big metal beast and the EGO is has more maneuverability and functions beyond what the metal beast can do. This moves so much snow so much more easily. I have had EGO push mower for almost 10 years and she loves that so I was hoping she would be able to use the snow blower! Not only can she use this, she has a 90% torn rotator cuff and it did no extra harm to her. Yes her surgery is up next. This is another amazing product from EGO and living in upper IL where we get a good amount of snow this saved us from having to hire a guy for $100 we were quoted per snow event. I would have done that, but my wife insisted she wanted to do this herself. After 3 snow events in 3 days she listed the red beast for sale. Our driveway holds about 6 cars and the EGO snow blower was impressive! After blowing leaves the day before we got a snow storms now she is wanting the leaf blower also. If you have the right tools it just makes life easier. This coming from a 62/61 year old people who don't want to give up on doing anything yet! I can't get over how much better this works and moves snow with ease. The snow we had last night was light/fluffy/dry after 12 inches 2 days ago and she is now wanting the EGO shovel for the deck and/or even the leaf blower. After using 3 leaf blowers to do leaves and not getting done she is demanding at the least the blower because the batteries can all be interchanged. Funny when you think we wouldn't need the leaf blower since we have zero trees, however, we live right across from a cemetery full of trees and we get nailed worse and worse as the years go on. Also dog approved for no smell and not even half the sound!

EGO Snowblower is very worth it!
The snowblower came on a tractor trailer via FedEx. I opened the box and had the handle, and the discharge chute, installed without needing any tools, in about 10 minutes! NOTE: It did take a while for the batteries to get to temperature before they would charge. I already own an EGO lawn mower. It is almost comical how light and easy it is to use. I needed a snowblower but was concerned with, how can this possibly be as powerful as a gas-powered mower? This snow blower is, and is ridiculously powerful, quiet, lightweight, easy to maneuver and very much worth it! I am in Northern-Maine, and we average well over 9 feet of snow each winter. Overnight was about 5" of snow. I cleared the driveway and cut a double wide path around the house. When I finished, the batteries were still at 80% capacity! I cleared the snow off the blower outside with a small handheld broom. Then I pulled the blower up my 4 steps and onto my enclosed porch. I do not have a shed, or garage. and this snowblower is narrow enough to easily fit though back door opening to mudroom. The blower does come with a couple extra shear pins. I would recommend getting additional shear pins to have on hand as/when needed. Think about this: You will never need to buy gas, oil, change a sparkplug, filter, clear a gas line, do a tune up, drain fluids with this very awesome EGO machine. Also, if you do plan on storing the snowblower outside (no shed or garage...) remember to remove batteries after each use, to bring them indoors. This way the batteries won't get too cold being outside for prolonged period, where you would have to then bring them inside and wait for them to get up to temperature, before the charger will engage. What are you waiting for? Buy this snowblower!

quick and easy
perhaps my second only review on amazon ever. but when something is good i wanna let people know about it. this is a great snowblower for your typical snowfall throughout most of the US. Works best when there’s about 6-10 inches of snow. 12 inches of higher and you may consider one of ego’s two stage models. but this thing is a beast. and it’s super quiet. finished my entire 100 foot driveway along with my adjacent sidewalk and both neighbors sidewalks all in about 17 min. definitely worth the investment. frees up time in your day and saves your back from shoveling. if it’s within your budget, you won’t be disappointed. super easy set up too. just about foolproof. go ahead and pick one up!

Plenty of battery.
Battery life is impressive. Easy to operate. No exhaust smell. Light weight. Does not self propel. You push it. Have not needed 3rd battery yet. You can direct chute left/right, but high or low you have to change at the chute. I like my big gas 2 stage, but I hate smelling like exhaust! This is more like a powered snow shovel, but it’s ok. The blade at the bottom is plastic. We will have to see how long that lasts. It does dig into the grass when off driveway, but you get used to holding it up a bit as you skim over the grass. Not horrible. I kind of want to check out some of the other models. But this does a good job for why it is.

poor workmanship and horrible customer service
I purchased this unit on Amazon and the day I received it there were 2 issues that were very concerning. First I noticed the batteries had a manufacture date of June, 2024. That means this unit with batteries sat on the shelf for 16 months. They say the batteries can last up to 10 years but I do not think the ones I got will last as long as new produced batteries. It also makes me believe EGO is not selling these units very fast. These batteries had no life in them when I charged them and it took 4 hours to charge on the quick charger, that is not good and I expect the batteries to fail well before the 10 years. The second issue is a "pitted " weld on the auger. After contacting EGO, they wanted me to haul it 30 miles to a different small city outside of town. I asked them why I could not change the auger and this is the worst part- They said only an authorized service company could change it and the auger which only has a warranty of 90 days. So that means that if the auger goes out after 90 days, the customer has to drive to wherever EGO says to have it repaired and the customer will have to pay for it. If the customer replaces the auger themselves the entire warranty is void. This means the 5 year warranty is not honored on a part that will surely wear out well before the 5 years, mine probably not make it 2 years. Here is the knock out punch by an EGO representative, Loraine, who instructed me to return it to Amazon for a full refund. I attempted to do that but Amazon will not allow a return on this item because of the batteries. When I called EGO back, they would not let me return it. I have tried to get a resolution with EGO and they put me on hold today for 20 minutes, then disconnected the line. I am stuck with a unit with 16 month old batteries, horrible weld on the auger and EGO could care less. Also, their customer service are foreigners that are difficult to understand. Thank you for the terrible experience EGO. Your Ego is just as bad as your products

Powerful, easy to use, clears snow very well
Have used in 2 storms so far. First was light 4” and it cleared a 12 car driveway with only 25% battery usage. Second was 6” of heavy wet snow. Used full charge of 1 set of batteries. Had to run auger on turbo to throw the snow far enough and keep it moving. Really cleared driveway well. The snoblower is easy to assemble, is well made, all the controls work well. Easier to use and just as powerful as gas blower of same size.

Amazing what a game changer!!!
I was hesitant as I always used gas blowers. Easy to put together; super easy to follow instructions and use it. Lightweight. Took me a few times to tweak it and learn. Battery life is great and easy to push especially as I get older. I had a fully charged battery and did my driveway; my walk ways; the sidewalks and my neighbors with one battery charge. Not sure amount of driveway but I have it wrapped around the back of my house too for a detached garage so plenty of driveway. The power/performance are great too!! And boy does it scrape down as low as you want. Best part a simple button to start and no gas smells!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I even got it on the prime day sale and saved - value for money.

Awesome blower!
Decided to replace a 10 yr old Cub Cadet (gas). The cadet had just gotten too heavy to move around in the snow and I needed something lighter. Live in Wisconsin so a snowblower is a must. My driveway is about 80 feet long by 20 feet wide. Knew I wanted battery. Tired of the old gas and oil hassle. Purchased this model and no regets. No hassle with starting and works like a charm. Excellent snowthrowing capability. No bogging down. Self-propulsion feature is great. I would rather have this than 10 gas models. Never going back to gas.
