It was older than the one we replaced
We ordered this to try. Check engine light was on and people kept saying it could be gas cap. So we tried it. But when it came, it was older than the one we removed. No change in light either. This one was crusty on the inside.

The cap I received is old and well used by the wear condition of the cap treads. Had road dirt on the top of cap with many scratches and paint rubs on cap.

No Seal on Gas Cap
Don’t waste your money! This gas cap does not have a seal!! Drive to your local auto zone and purchase a real gas cap (for the same price). Guy working there says he sees this all the time with gas cap purchases online. If there is no seal, your vehicle won’t pass emissions testing.

First time received a used petrol cap and second time replace with a new one.
After opening the petrol cap package and complain on the same day and respond straight away with a new petrol cap a week later it arrived. It work with no fault on my dashboard clear the service light.
