Breathless (60th Anniversary Edition)

As usual Criterion's standards are extremely high with a lovely looking transfer. I actually prefer Studiocanal's treatment of the video and audio especially as there are numerous subtitle choices, whereas the Criterion edition has only optional English subtitles. Where Criterion win out is the huge amount of special features and extras included in this release, worth buying for these reasons alone ( which I did).

The BLU RAY of this most famous French film is available in TWO VARIANTS.The USA Release is the desired Criterion version but its REGION-A LOCKED so won't play on the vast majority of UK BLU RAY players unless they're chipped to be a Multi-Region for 'BLU RAY' - and most aren't.There is however a lovely presentation of it by Studio Canal in a hardback booklet digibook which WILL PLAY on UK machines...buy that one instead...
