Weaver Leather unisex adult Split horse reins, Golden Chestnut, 5 8 x US

These are seriously nice reins for the money. Its been forever since I've had to buy a pair, so I was a bit shocked at the pricing nowdays and didn't expect a whole lot of pretty for that price point. I was pleasantly surprised at how heavy and nicely made these are. The tail ends are sort of doubled up on leather to make them a bit thicker and heavier than the rest of the rein. The leather on each rein is even with no blemishes. I'm just really impressed with them.

These are my absolute favorite split rains. I highly recommend these lightweight but not too thin.

Soft to touch. Thick where it needs to be. Color accurate and matches what I needed.

I’ve been looking for a pair of these because I use my trainer’s and I love his. Finally found these (in stock) and love them! They’re a bit thicker and need some more use to really break them in but I love them. They’re plenty long- which is what I wanted- but I almost have to trim some off. I’d rather they be too long than too short. They’re a great length for my 16.2hh gelding that likes a tighter rein, but they drag in the snow as they come below his knees. I have yet to use them on my 15h mare in training as she’s still in her first 30 rides and I don’t need to worry about stepping on them. Love them and they withstand the weather super well!! Just need to trim mine a bit- and they’ll be perfect!

These reins are soft and supple out of the box. They are great heavy weight quality.

I used this product to replace a pair of thin leather reins that came with a Stacy Westfall headstall. These heavy split reins are a real upgrade. Excellent quality.

These reins are a soft, working rein with a beautiful feel in the hand.For me, they are a nice weight and a great size for my hand at 5/8" wide by about 1/4 to 3/8" thick.They are a bit tapered from top to bottom which lets them sit comfortably in the hand and the underside is burnished so there is no rough leather.I am a big fan of the 8'0 length.The water tie ends are sturdy and well made.I wouldn't have called these Golden Chestnut in colour since they are darker more like a latigo leather colour but they are changing in colour a bit with use.All in all, I would recommend these to anyone needing a really good set of reins.They can't be beat for the price and should last for many riding miles.

Love these reins so much! Perfect size for my hands and excellently weighted for neck reining on green horses that are just learning, makes for fast learners
