Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have a small leather project so I picked a small sheet of the leather to avoid the expense and storage of a side of leather.The quality of this leather appears very nice. The grain side is very smooth and the flesh side is nicely finished. The sheet is flexible and should work for my intentions of an unique instrument case handle.It comes rolled up inside a plastic film, so I would remove the packaging to allow the leather to breathe and lay it out flat until it relaxes to making working with easier.

High quality! Made a 14" long x 2" wide shoulder pad to replace original pleather for my briefcase strap and it is soft and has a very professional look and feel. Quite thick and consistent grain throughout the entire sheet.

The media could not be loaded. I needed to make vest extenders for the side of my vest, since more layers in winter time is necessary on a motorcycle, and I didn’t have any room to spare once zipped up. These sheets are very soft/flexible. I had no issue cutting or getting grommets into it. It held up very well during an 8 hour ride/2 day trip that included lots of rain, and I have zero concern that it will give me any issue going forward. It’s not super shiny, so it doesn’t look cheap to me. What I would consider the “inside” is soft; I’m unsure if it transfers color, since I wore it with dark clothes (my red shirt was fine). My vest is already very worn and broken in, so it’s not concerning to me, but I can see how it would show marks easily, especially on brown…but I got black, so don’t take my word for it.(My video is after the 8 hour ride&weekend in the rain. I rubbed it to show no transfer. Scratched it with my nail, then wiped off the mark it made.)

This is a very nice Stone Oil Utility hide. This is NOT Tooling Leather. You can not tool this type of leather. But for wallets, and other projects it nice. For those who don't know it is about 4-5 oz thick.

My now hard to find HP Laptop Case had these worn out leather veneer over cloth handles. The laptop case showed no other signs of significant wear, so I decided to try to replace these worn parts of the handle with real leather. This beautiful quality leather provided the perfect solution. Only minimal tools and some sewing skills with heavy waxed thread produced a really nice and comfortable handle that will bring more years of enjoyment to my daily travel companion for my laptop.
