One skein makes one beanie hat
I couldn't resist trying this yarn, with a name like "Fairy Cakes." It is a cotton/acrylic blend, much softer than cotton yarn, but with the durability I'd expect in acrylic yarn. It was easy to work with, didn't split, but it did have knots in it (where two ends are tied together). The color fades in a pleasing way (except where the knotted ends caused an abrupt color change). I like the color combination of this yarn. I used a size 5mm crochet hook (and finished with a size 4mm), and one skein was more than enough to complete one adult-sized beanie hat. I have enough leftover for a small project or a couple quilt patches.

I LOVE this yarn (Revised for video)
The media could not be loaded. I have added a video of the blanket I made to show how light weight this is. My blanket is 44" X 65". I can easily pick it up with one hand. It's not heavy at all despite the stitch I used. (A variation of the US half double)I absolutely love this yarn. I bought one cake to test it out for lightness, quality, and even density. I love to crochet and have even thought of starting a YouTube channel for beginners. If I do, this will the the yarn I suggest buying. I bought a total of 10 cakes to start a blanket. I truly have no idea what the stitch I'm doing is called but it's a variation of the (US) half double crochet. The blanket I. Making is going to be so light and airy, yet warm. I may post a pic later of the blanket and maybe a video for anyone contemplating on buying so you can see how it lays. It's not stiff (or itchy) at all. IT'S SO SOFT. If you're anything like me, you come here to see what others are saying before you buy. I don't do reviews often but felt I had to with this yarn. Happy crocheting everybody! 😁
