They are not real vacuum tubes, only a rendition of the original Nixie Tubes.
It's beautiful, I love it, But... They are not vacuum tubes, not electron tubes. It's a pretty plastic reproduction of real Nixie Tubes. It's good enough.

Uber Cool Tube Clock
I wanted a clock for my office but I was looking for something unique, different and functional. This tube clock was the perfect, random find! I had a walnut finished desk with an LED mechanical keyboard. This clock looks great on my desk. You can connect the clock via wifi on your phone and change the colors and control the time. When you initially connect, the language is Chinese. You can toggle it to be in English however. I'm not going to lie, this worried me greatly as I was slightly paranoid connecting this to my network. The only drawback that I've encountered so far was the occasional drift in time. A quick connect via the app corrected it. Overall, very pleased with this purchase!

Fascinating visual display
I love this clock! The visual appearance is difficult to describe and really has to be seen first hand to be appreciated, there really isn't anything else quite like it for visual displays. It has a very "analogie" aesthetic for a digital clock. The edge-lit etched glass (or polycarbonate) display has a very clear and pleasant visual effect. And the variable colors of the RGB LED array creates another level of animation. Overall, it is quite fascinating to look at.The down-side is that the clock has 2 seconds drift per day, fast. I've written code to automatically connect periodically to the Wi-Fi host to sync the time with my desktop, but it would be better to have the source code to do internal calibration, or maybe I'll look into adding an external crystal oscillator to the chip.

Poor Product
I recently decided to dump my cable to migrate to utilizing Steaming to save money. I purchased the clock to fill the void of no longer having a cable box that displayed the time.It comes with a USB type-C to use type-A, but no power adapter to plug into. It's seems that's the directions that companies are moving toward. Luckily I have several Apple iphone USB to power adapters.I was hoping to configure it to use my Wifi to hopefully keep the time in sync. Unfortunately, connecting to the clock and setting up the Wifi does not work. Yes, you can see it, but you'll never be able to actually get any apple device to connect.I recently noticed the time drifts as well. I may not be able to get the time to sync, but I would hope that if I manually set the time, the time would stay close to the time of the source that was used. In the short time that I've had it, it's drifts +2 minutes. The only positive thing I can say about the clock is, it looks good. Would I recommend it? Most definitely not.

Good and bad
The pros: it's a very good-looking, stylish clock. The numbers are bright and easy to read and the different RGB settings are pretty cool. You can have it display a single solid color, custom color choices for each "tube", or "river mode" where the colors flow and shift (best setting imo). It also seems to have a backup battery inside of it, so if it gets unplugged, it'll save your settings (although it shuts off if unplugged). You can also switch it from a normal 12-hour clock to military time, if you prefer that. The cons: it's powered by a USB C cable (which is included), but doesn't come with a power brick. Although the numbers are easy to read, you basically have to be looking at it head on to see them (this is due to the nature of the design). You can set an alarm but the alarm sound itself is not that loud. Also, there's no easy way to turn off the alarm, like a switch or something. To disable the alarm you have to set the alarm to 00:00. This is a little inconvenient and I'll probably just end up using my phone for an alarm instead.Edit: alright. Four nights in a row, I've come back from work to find this clock off by six hours. I have no idea why, but it seems to bug out sometimes and when the hour turns it'll go to the wrong number. Absolutely frustrating and unacceptable for a SEVENTY DOLLAR CLOCK. Spend your money elsewhere.

Cool Looking Digital Tube Clock
First off this is a really cool looking clock. But…1. The browser interface is really wonky. The display choices are labeled incorrectly, but it does work.2. Synchronized time with my phone and clock time set 3 hours ahead. Had to change time zone on the interface.3. I live in Pacific time. The first night time zone was set to Eastern time.4. Overnight the clock lost 2 hours. Now set to Mountain time.5. You can use any browser not just you phone to adjust the features.6. Very easy to connect ton WiFi.7. No firmware update available.8. 5 stars for styling.Update 11/3/2024Still a cool looking clock and I've gotten compliments.But...the web browser is so janky making it very difficult to use, and it constantly looses/gains time. When I sync the time, I have to keep switching time zones. As for people saying it doesn't come with a charger...or cable they are correct, but if you have a powered usb-c plug nearby or a phone charger will also work.

A Fun Craft Project in a Box
My son, a software engineer, requested this for Christmas. He had fun putting it together, and it's still running well. It makes a neat toy and then functional piece worthy of conversation.
