You need something to make sure your wig don’t go nowhere, THESE ARE IT!! Be VERY careful though, because they Weill snatch your edges out. But your wig will definitely be secure!

PSA: Do not - I repeat: DO NOT buy this wig-toupee tape!!! I usually go to a local specialty make up store but was in a time pinch the week we filmed a video shoot, so I ordered some for some pasties i needed to wear for the shoot. I’ve done it before and it’s usually a bit stickier and tears my skin a tad (likely from sitting in a hot warehouse somewhere), so I avoid it if I can, but I figured I wouldn’t be too bad because I wouldn’t be wearing them long. Fortunately it didn’t tear my skin- but again, I only wore them a few minutes. *BUT* I couldn’t get the tape off the back of the pasties. Since we were in a hurry, I just stuck them together and figured I’d get it off later and use a little adhesive remover if needed. I just spent over AN HOUR prying my pasties apart, then scraping the gooey, boogery, sticky mess off of the backs. It made my hands and everything I touched sticky and I used nearly half a bottle of adhesive remover to get it off. If it took that much to pull it off of my pasties, I shudder to think what that would do to fragile boobie skin of worn for long periods of time- or even worse- what would happen if you used it to hold on a wig or hairpiece!

Let’s just start off by saying that I have VERY oily skin! Before applying I used alcohol to clean and prep the area I applied the tape to. The photo I’m attaching is day 11 with this wig on! I was over the style and was trying to wait for it to lift. It never did! So I used 70 % alcohol to try to remove it and that didn’t help at all. I guess you need to use the recommended 91% isopropyl alcohol! Since the 70 % didn’t work I used some oil. This did help the process but the tape was still standing strong throughout my attempts to remove it. I will only use this tape for long term use.

The tape is okay. Definitely recommend tape/glue remover, as the tape will rip hair out of the units. It’s strong at first, but doesn’t hold up at all to sweat or humidity. By the end of the third day the tape is a goopy mess. Tape works best in conjunction with lace glue, using the tape only as extra holding. I don’t recommend it be the sole method of install. The longest I’ve gotten it to last was about a week with lace glue. It’s cheap and while I won’t be buying again, I’m not completely upset at the purchase.

There are many brands of wig tape strips, but these are the only ones that don't make me break out in redness and scabs. They hold down the hair pieces that give me freedom while remaining gentle on my skin. I have ordered these several times. I highly recommend them.
