I love the leather, I love the style, and I love the size. I will be using this bag for years to come and I'm thrilled with it. I have a few nitpicks, but nothing that would have prevented me from getting this bag.1. The zippers are hard to pull at first. They're wonderful quality metal, but I had to add some light oil and use them many times to get them smooth. It's particularly bad on the small additional pouches, the main zip and the large pocket zip on the purse work well.2. The pen pouch is absolutely flat, and the zipper has been shortened on it presumedly to save money. there's a good inch on either side of the zipper that's just wasted. I had to put a lot of balm on the pen case and stuff it with newspaper to loosen it up enough for the zipper to work, since the pull from the straight sides made it difficult to use. Once I really crumpled it a few times and had it broken in, things worked better. But those roughly two inches made it too short of an opening for me to put in my 6x9 budgeting envelopes. But for pens and receipts, it's great.3. Kind of the same for the round pouch, but it had a good sized zipper. I had to put balm on it and really work with it and put oil on the zipper to get it working smoothly. Good for change or medications.4. The bag is shipped folded, so it has a permanent fold mark on one of the sides near the bottom, like a paper bag would have. I put balm on it and worked on it, and it's not very noticeable now. I wish it would have been packaged differently to prevent this. Still, if you weren't really looking you wouldn't see it.These are nitpicky critiques. Let me state again that I love the bag and will use it for years. Putting a backing on the leather straps is wonderful, they don't feel as sharp and fragile as regular leather straps can and they won't stretch too much. The phone pocket is big enough for my iPhone 15 pro or my Jlab earbuds charging case. The pen loops hold pens. All in all, a great bag.

It is difficult to find things that are made to last anymore. This is a very well made, high quality bag. It is versatile and has a classic look that will never go out of style. I would rather buy something well made once than a bunch of cheap plastic things that fall apart instantly. The leather and stitching are high quality. This is the kind of leather that will soften and develop a patina over time. I wanted a bag that I could use to hold a laptop and for travel. This holds my laptop but is small enough to carry easily. I really like the extras - the little pouches, and especially the inside hook that you can attach to the wallet, for security. Overall, 100% recommend.

I love Berliner bags! This will be the second product I buy from them ( I own a handbag from them too). I originally ordered this bag specifically for church to take my Bible, digital notebook, and pens. Quickly I realized how stylish and roomy this is, a readers dream! This bag might officially become my everyday bag. It is functional, stylish, and good value for your money.It comes with a longer strap, a coin pouch, a wallet wrapped in a beautiful totebag (not shown). The tote bag it comes wrapped in is thin but still functional though I wouldn't recommend that one for heavy items.As a reader, I carry my kindle everywhere but lately, I have been switching back and forth between my kindle and a physical book. This bag holds both and room to spare. I highly recommend this bag to anyone who dreamed of owning a Mary Poppins bag.

If you are looking for a larger bag for all your stuff , this is it ! Outside pocket for stuff!Large inside space with 2 pen holders ( could use for gloss ). Large inner pocket for smaller items !It does have a key ring to attach key which is very nice ! I wish it was on a string for easy access! I purchased a hook to attach to my keychain to hook on the key ring !

This is my second Berliner bag… ordered the Sofia crossbody and it’s perfect.However, I live in Southeast Asia and while it’s nice to have the smaller Sofia bag for quick trips out, I needed something slightly larger and also something with a zipper top closure.This bag is perrrrfect! I have no issues with making a large tote bag my everyday carry, but I wouldn’t necessarily call this one a large tote. It’s nice because it tapers from small on bottom to wider up top, which makes the crossbody feature better.The pictures may seem silly, but this just speaks to the durability of the leather and product overall. I live in a hot climate and exposed to all kinds of weather situations in the volunteer work I do - and these Berliner bags just keeps on working. I don’t feel like I have to be overly cautious, which is the whole point of getting quality leather.I did apply a mild conditioner when I first got it and it softened up nicely. Highly recommend!
