Very easy to setup and use melts lead free solder fairly fast and the suction if fairly good you must remember to tin the tip of the tool to extend the life of each tip but does the job very well and good value for money

Easy to use, quick to heat up. Keep copper tip cleaner handy to extend the life of the tip.Couldn’t be more straight forward to use and has made modifying, fixing and testing circuits a hundred times easier and less stressful. The hollow heated tip slips over the soldered pins, melting the solder so you can suck it all up with one button, rarely do you have to come back for a second suck, provided you eject excess solder in the shaft with the plunger (worth having a wet cloth to eject it onto). The build is a bit flimsy in its plastic so I’m trying not to be too rough with it, but it was a worthwhile investment for the hours of agony I’d spent trying to desolate with wick or a separate non heated solder sucker. Could be a bit more compact for smaller circuits and I haven’t tried it with SMD components which I can imagine with the size might be an issue. No temperature control either but it’s been plenty hot enough and fast working that I haven’t felt like it needed one. I might put a switch on it too so I don’t have to plug it in and unplug it from the outlet every time I need to use it. Comes with a little stand which is helpful.

YIHUA 929D-V Electric Vacuum Desoldering Iron Soldering,This saved me a good amount of time without the fuss of using an iron and solder sucker separately so im able to get some more repairs done.The iron heats up within around 3-5mins although on the first use it did smoke abit for the first 20mins then stopped afterwards and you do need to tin the top before use.While this is only used for desoldering hole through components so re-soldering components your still going to need an iron available im happy enough to finish my current work within 25mins and not like 45-50mins it sometimes takes.Some people will say you could use this to re-solder however, you going to have to be extremely careful as most components are close together.Cleaning the camber is really easy to do and i spent pretty much the last few days working on at least 30 different boards. There is a negative of which i found out pretty much after the first clean, if you don't clean this out the solder will eventually fall out the nozzle.The other negative i noticed is the o-ring on the plunger this looks like a wearable part and if that fails the device is not going to be effective, so would be nice to know if the o-ring can be replaced as you don't get any spares in packaging .You do get two extra nozzles which are different in sizes and a cleaning rod.You do have to be careful with the power cable as this is wrapped in just normal silicone rubber and not high heat rubber so the iron would happily put a hole through it.Build quality wise i was happy with its as its easy to clean. The weight makes this easy to use one handed and depress the sucker.I felt value wise for what i paid for it (£35.99) aslong as im able to get my work done quicker its good money well spent.

The YIHUA 929D-V is an outstanding desoldering tool. It has a powerful vacuum function and works perfectly for through-hole desoldering. The shorter charging handle is comfortable to use, and the nozzles fit well. A must-have for electronics repairs!

This tool is a game changer. For those that use soldering iron and solder suckers in combination, you know the pain of having both tips in fighting for the same space. This drops over the pin, melts the solder and you can suck the solder right off the joint, it clears out the hole nicely. Much better and more consistent than using a separate solder sucker. It's a great addition to my soldering workstation.

This device looks like a great idea, but there's one big drawback. The nozzles get eaten away after just a few de-solders. Even tinning the tip causes it to be eaten away. I've followed the instructions to the letter. We all know how to tin a new tip, and the instructions are clear on this. A 20 pin CPU and two 9 pin resistor packs and the tip was only fit to be thrown away. This is a real shame as when it's working it's brilliant. The metal parts get extremely hot, much hotter than my 25W iron, don't know if this it what causes the nozzle rot. It also looks like it'll need cleaning out more often than a standard solder sucker, but that's ok. I really want to like this, but going through tips at this rate I just can't give it a better review

Halves the work of removing components from a PCB or metal chassis (no 3-handed juggling of wick, pump, iron, pliers etc). WITHOUT TEMPERATURE CONTROL, so MUCH cheaper than professional-level rival brands. Temperatures rise from 65C after 1 min, to a max of 385-400C after 10 mins, so judgement needed not to overheat the work...can melt everything from Low Temperature Fusible Link, ALL the electrical Solder alloys, up to PEWTER work.

Arrived nicely boxed. I’ve been using a non heated sucker and was looking forward to this revelation. I plugged it in and waited for it to heat up. The cable is thick and a not massively flexible but workable. White smoke started coming out of the device as expected. Burning off various manufacturing oils etcAfter a few minutes I tried it on one of the solder points. It melted the solder perfectly and with a press of the button sucked up the solder leaving a surprisingly clean hole on the PCB.It would be nice for it to have a “at temperature” indicator, but holding it onto the pcb solder kind of tests that.On some joints I had to rotate the sucker to make sure it heated all the solder properly before sucking.Overall however I am very pleased with its performance. Cleaning it is also a doddle. The chamber is very easily removed. Pull the plunger out and give it scrape to get the solder off. Refit with ease.Good item for the money.
