Trout, Trout, Trout!: A Fish Chant (American City Series)

I've bought this book for 2 generations of kids between the ages of 1yr - 7yrs. Each and every one has loved it!

The illustrations are humerous and entertaining! Any fish lover would appreciate this book. My 15-month old daughter even likes it (her dad reads it to her more like a cheer and she thinks that's GREAT!!!) Grandpa will be getting a copy for Father's Day. The variety of fish in here is unlike any other book I've seen (besides my fish identification book from college). If you do not know what all the fish are, there is a section in the back with an informative write-up on each of the fish in the book. I wish that Trip Park would come out with cards and stationary...or another book, maybe a child story book on fish life cycles or natural salmon runs? (I'm hoping he'll read this! Fish people are left hungry for more!!!) It's AWESOME.

I have the hardback version of this book that I read many times to my son when he was younger. He is now 14 and rolls his eyes at such thoughts, but still remembers the rhyming chants. I purchased it for a friend who just had her first child and I'm sure it will get read a lot. Just wish it was still available in the hardback version.

I bought this book for my nephew when he was about 2. Though the reading level is a 5, he loved it when we would read this to him with the animated facial expressions that you can't help but have when reading the rhyming chants. (It is still one of his favorites at the age of 5, btw.) I may be a little biased about the topic being a fisheries biologist myself, but the fun, yet accurate cartoons and the tidbits of fish facts have landed this book as one of my favorite children's books at the age of 27. Hope you enjoy it too! :)

Will NEVER stop loving this book and it's illustrations. It was my sons and now I pass it along to all new mommies!! "3 Spin Stickleback, Fresh Water Drum, Lake Chub, Creek Chub, Chum Chum Chum...…" I have the whole book memorized I have read it so many times :)!!!

A fun book to read. I'm a conservation student and this was great for my 4yr old who loves my textbooks. Trout trout trout!

We saw this book at a local nature center and were glad it was available to purchase online. The pictures are colorful and comical and the book is informative and fun.

This is the third copy I have purchased. It's one of the most entertaining read aloud books out there. Kids absolutely love it.

We're a fishing family and we when saw this book we knew we had to buy it. Needless to say, we are not disappointed! We read this book daily. The pictures are bright and colourful, the wording is clever and it's definitely a fun book. 5 stars!!

This book was a favourite with my daycare class, so I was very excited to order it for my son as a Christmas gift. It has wonderful rhymes and beautiful illustrations. My only disappointment was that the book was bent when it arrived due to the way it was packaged, which is why I am giving this product 4 out of 5 stars.
