Review: I can confidently throw my XM4 against a wall with this case!!! - We all know Spigen cases are rock solid and everyone comes to the review section to check for any cons/alarming detail first. So, here it goes: Cons: This case glues itself to the earpods charging case on top and bottom, which means that you can't remove it to fit the earpods into a more travel-friendly protective pouches with waterproof casing, cable holders etc. (You can still use it with RSOLs protective case in "XM3" version as it is a bit roomier to accomodate the earpods with spigen case on it). Also, beware that you can remove/refit your case only once in its lifetime as Spigen has only included a single pair of additional glue strips (I don't think you could find glue strips alone seperately anywhere). The cases from Spigen have become expensive lately. A full phone rugged armour case for my samsung s7-s10+ used to be just 50-75 bucks. 100+ for a tiny earpods case seems a bit much but I guess that's what happens when you don't have any quality competition. Also, lack of colour options is a bit disappointing. I would've loved some army green or Burgundy shades to be provided as an option for the wider mases. Now let's get to the good stuff: Pros: This case glues itself to the earpods charging case on top and bottom!!!!. At first when I unboxed and tried to fit it on my earpods, it didn't feel very snug. Then I realized that there are 2 glue strips on the top and bottom pieces which needs to be removed before fitting the case. Once it was glued tight to the earpods, it felt so tight, snug and secure. Gives me enough confidence to throw the earpods case roughly on surfaces without having to worry about the impact. This is mostly because of the way this armour feels on my earpods and also partly because of the trust I gained through long-term usage of various rugged armour cases made by Spigen. Yet to see how this will hold up against long-term rough usage and surface impacts. Will update the review if this impression changes in the future. All said and done, I'm not buying another fragile gadget (Watch, phone, earpods etc.) without ordering Spigen armour first (Unless it gets more expensive than the gadget itself :D). None of the competing brands I've tried earlier (Be it cheaper or at par in pricing) have provided the same level of quality, protection and confidence as the cases made by Spigen. Its not just worth the hassle of risking your fragile gadgets. Go for it.... you'll be a worry-free owner who wouldn't hesitate to throw it against a wall someday when you gain the same confidence that I've gained now (Caution: Reader discretion is advised before deciding to throw it on anything!). Review: Great fit and nice hard rubber material - It's got a great fit to the case attached by some adhesives lined within the casing. The hold of the adhesive is strong, might be too strong in my opinion. I tried taking it off I've and it felt like I was going to rip out the lid of the case. But it does come off eventually. Just use care. Good rubber material, nice to touch, not to jelly like an iPhone case or hard like a rock. It's like tire rubber but it's got quality. The the ruggedness is apparent from that. Nice case ## Features - Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design - Includes a Carabiner (Key Ring) for easy portability - Supports the visibility of the power light for quick battery status updates ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09DRPDR4M | | Additional Features | Wireless Charging Compatible | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #76,655 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #3,325 in Headphone Cases | | Brand | Spigen | | Built-In Media | carabiner | | Color | Matte Black | | Colour | Matte Black | | Compatible Devices | Sony WF-1000XM4 | | Compatible Headphone Models | Sony WF-1000XM4 | | Compatible Phone Models | ['Sony WF-1000XM4'] | | Compatible devices | Sony WF-1000XM4 | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 3,547 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Silicone | | Form Factor | Case | | Form factor | Case | | Global Trade Identification Number | 08809811851083 | | Item Dimensions | 8.1 x 4.6 x 3.4 centimeters | | Item Weight | 40 Grams | | Manufacturer | Spigen | | Material | Silicone | | Mfr Part Number | ACS03364 | | Model Number | ACS03364 | | Pattern | Solid | | Shell Type | Soft | | Shell type | Soft | | Subject Character | no subject character | | Theme | Carbon Fiber Design | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Spigen - **Colour:** Matte Black - **Compatible devices:** Sony WF-1000XM4 - **Form factor:** Case - **Shell type:** Soft ## Images ![Spigen Rugged Armor Case Designed for Sony WF-1000XM4 (2021) - Matte Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51XLfTVAnML.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What seems to be the issue with wireless charging?** A: The case is too thick, so wireless charging doesn't work or sometimes it only work for a few seconds. Have to remove the spigen case if you want reliable wireless charging on the XM4 **Q: Does this case have a locking mechanism?** A: It does not lock. It’s essentially a glove for the OEM case. **Q: How hard is it to remove the case with the preinstalled adhesive used?** A: As a reference from another user: Get a little pipette with some isopropyl alcohol. Make a little opening and pour some droplets, it'll dissolve the adhesive and not damage the charging case **Q: Funciona para los Sony Wf c500?** A: Están hechos específicamente para los WF-1000MX4, no se si el estuche de los otros audífonos que me preguntas son iguales ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can confidently throw my XM4 against a wall with this case!!! *by K***K on 22 April 2022* We all know Spigen cases are rock solid and everyone comes to the review section to check for any cons/alarming detail first. Nice case ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ really well made, fits perfectly *by B***. on 16 February 2023* I’m a Spigen fan, love their screen protectors too. Came with extra adhesive in case the supplied strips lose grip. Nice aesthetic and pleased with the purchase. ## Frequently Bought Together - Spigen Rugged Armor Designed for Sony WF-1000XM4 Case Cover (2021) - Matte Black - ALXCD Eartips Compatible with Sony WF-1000XM4 WF-1000XM5 Earbuds, S/M/L 3 Pairs Soft Silicone Ear Tips Earbuds Tips, Compatible with Sony WF-1000XM5 WF-1000XM4 Silicon Tips XM4 3 Pairs, SML, Black - Sony WF-1000XM4 Replacement OEM Charging Case (Black) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/374378739-spigen-rugged-armor-case-designed-for-sony-wf-1000xm4-2021](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/374378739-spigen-rugged-armor-case-designed-for-sony-wf-1000xm4-2021) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
