A couple of grammar/spelling errors
It makes me curious who inspired her to write the poetry. 8/10 book. Though someone should’ve gone over it a couple of times to catch the typos

Inspiring
Poetry like this and "Milk and Honey" are what excite me about writing. Cecelia explains in the author's note before it all starts that, "Writing has always been the easiest way for me to communicate with others." Already, I felt connected with her because writing became my form of expression and self-care. I definitely understand where she is coming from. Poetry like hers spoke to me on levels that I can't even explain. It fascinates me when poets can impact a reader with just a few words or a few sentences.Without giving away so much, some favorites of mine were:AirIf someone asked me to pickYou or air,I would pick you every time. What is worth having air to breatheIf I can't breathe it with you?TeaI wasn't your cup of tea because you wanted toAddCreamAnd sugarAnd couldn't just take me as I was.In a matter of 5 lines for each poem, Cecelia has impacted the reader in a way a novel can. It amazes me that poetry can do this. Short and sweet lines, but they speak volumes. It was a joy to read, and I can't wait to explore more of Cecelia's work.

Great book!
4.5 stars for this. I picked one of her books to read from random because I see her on Instagram all the time. Can’t believe this is her first one! Great poetry. Will read more of her books for sure.

Original
**4/5 stars :)I love Jennae's bravery and originality. She is all about getting her voice and vision out there in the world. She is unafraid of self-publishing and she is empowering others to believe in their dreams and pursue them no matter how big or scary they may seem. The only reason this has 4 instead of 5 stars is because of some grammatical and spelling errors here and there but it is a self-published book an that's understandable.Amazing job, Jennae. I look forward to more poetry from you. Good luck in all your dreams and endeavors :)Xo,Rach

It's alright but there are typos
I wasn't particularly fond of the writing style, and I noticed 3 typos before finishing the book, which definitely detracted from each poem and put a damper on the book as a whole. There were a few poems that I actually really loved a lot, but overall I didn't enjoy the book too much. I stand to believe it is a stylistic preference, but a lot of the poems seemed flat and the typos seemed as if they were added in as an afterthought. We're human and it happens, but words matter a lot more in poetry.

There are some great poems and it's definitely a lovely book that anyone who suffered a major heartbreak can relate to. It would be a great book to give any teenage girl. Though some poems weren't as good as others in my opinion, as they seemed generic, I was overall pleased with the books and highly recommend to anyone.

That cover is amazing!
Bright Minds Empty Souls is an emotional poetry collection about love and heartbreak. It takes you to the depths of both extremes of loving another person. Although this wasn’t my favorite of Jennae Cecelia’s work, I truly enjoyed the experience of reading it. I look forward to reading more by Jennae Cecelia.

a warm night.
bright minds empty souls is the kind of poetry book you curl up with when you're feeling slightly off from your normal self. this book with a cup of tea or coffee, a warm blanket and some soft acoustics playing in the background make for a lovely night of healing and breathing. jennae cecelia gives you her warmth, so that you are not all alone in your own thoughts.

It was ok
This is a nice little collection of poems. Unfortunately, nothing really stood out for me. It feels quite teenage - when live and heartbreak are two of the strongest feelings you have and both somehow seem world-destroying. I’m in my 30s now so found that type of love difficult to relate to at this time in my life. If I’d read this at 17 though, I can imagine I would have really enjoyed it!

beautiful
this was such a beautiful collection of poems and i'm ngl the reason I'm only giving it 3 stars is because i couldn't relate to them. poetry can be very personal and connecting with it is the biggest way (imo) to truly enjoy it. this was mostly about relationships and things and i just couldn't connect with it. but it was still beautiful & i still recommend it!!

Life lessons
I think this was very deceptive. I highlighted a lot. But it was more of a lesson book than an enjoyable one.

Aw is my feeling towards Bright Minds Empty Souls. With the odd poem being in second person perspective, these are mostly observations of love, from falling, to it ending and hurting.I think Bright Mind, the title poem, is all too brief but I did like the metaphors and imagery. Childhood was one of my favourite poems, and Aggression.

Poor quality
To be honest, the contents of the book itself was a let down. The cover was very thin and poorly made. Felt like I was holding a magazine.
