Paris Up, Up and Away Hardcover – Picture Book, April 11, 2016

My 7 year old is obsessed with Paris. We saw this book in a local shop and she fell in love with it. I didn’t have a chance to get back to that store before Christmas so I found it on amazon. Can’t wait to give it to her. It’s a really beautiful and unique book.

I saw this in a store in London and knew I had to get it for a friend when in the US. She LOVED it. Just like me she was wowed by the delicacy of the art. The paper cutouts are stunning and we very much enjoyed the story. I highly recommend this book for both adults and children. I would however suggest that it would be best enjoyed by older children.

Wonderful book done in black and white laser cut of Paris famous sites! Bought for my daughter-in-law who adores Paris. I need to get one for myself!

Absolutely gorgeous. If you are hesitating, don't. I was also considering purchasing her Mary Poppins book, but it looks like it is no longer available from Amazon.

BEAUTIFUL book. Easy to read. It’s been a favourite in our house. Our daughter is 2. We also buy this as gifts for our friends.

Baby gift! Loved it!

This is by far one of the most beautiful books we've come across. Although each page is delicate, this is a wonderful book to read to a child of any age. We loved it so much that we bought a bunch as gifts for our friends and families. Highly, highly recommended for anyone with children.

Before I came across this book whilst searching for a gift for my Wife, I had never come across the author Hélène Druvert before. Seemingly an illustrator and paper and textile designer by trade what she has put together here is some 'simple' wording flowing across some stunningly illustrated scenes of Paris.If that wasn't enough in its own right, during production the pages have been laser cut to produce beautiful silhouettes, which create interest and captivating depth thought the piece. In a world which seems to march ever on into digital formats and transformation, it is fantastic to see the printed form hit back just a little. If you are a fan of physical books or Paris for that matter you will love this. In my case it simply made a fantastic gift. I could add pictures to this review but they wouldn't do it justice.One word of warning though, you will want to handle it with care, most pages are extremely delicate and if Paris isn't your thing there is also similar piece by the same author about New York.

El libro llego en buen estado, sin esquinas dobladas ni golpes. El poco texto que tiene es en inglés (nivel muy básico), pero queda en un segundo plano, lo interesante del libro son sus troquelados de la ciudad de París. Aunque sus textos estan pensados para niños, es un libro muy delicado y se rompe con facilidad. Sería más adecuado para niños mayores que sean cuidadosos y para adultos.

J'ai acheté ce livre 3 fois afin de l'offrir tellement je le trouve beau.Attention peut-être à ne pas le laisser entre les petites mains des petits, les pages sont délicatement découpées.J'ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer personnellement Hélène lors d'une séance de dédicaces à Paris, ce qui ajoute encore plus de charme à la découverte de ses livres. Je recommande aussi vivement Anatomie!
