True Story
After several nights of walking into my bathroom and seeing brown recluse spiders that came in from the heat, I bought a dozen of these traps and set them out in my bathroom and bedroom. Two days later, I had and exterminator spray the whole house and attic inside and out. Amazing! No more spiders! A month later, I decided to pick up the traps and dispose of them since they weren't needed anymore. I couldn't believe it. Every trap had multiple spiders in them. Dozens of dead spiders were caught in the traps after slipping past the chemical barrier left by the exterminator. I am going to have to rethink this exterminator thing. In the meantime, I am buying more of these traps for the rest of the house.

Easy to set up
Easy to use but o have caught a lot of ants and no spiders- they do really well placed by ant trail though- VERY sticky. Not messy.

Miracle product
We had tons of creepy crawlies in our house and couldn't figure out how they were getting in. The traps helped us find and seal the entry point. They're not as sticky as regular glue traps so they're pet friendly.

A qualified flop
Before I write this, I’ll say that everyone has their own experiences with products. Here are mine.I live in SoCal, and this year we have had a bevy of big, dangerous looking spiders webbing it up in the yard. Rather than paying for an expensive pest service, I decided to try trapping them myself.I found the traps easy to assemble and disperse across the yard. I placed them near corners where gnarly spiders seem to hide.Over the span of 3 days, I caught a roach, a big beetle that attracted a swarm of ants, and about 5 rolly polies (poor guys). No spiders tho. However, I saw plenty of spiders during that time including a huge wolf spider about as long as a finger. So, my take is that these traps catch bugs, just not spiders. Spiders seem indifferent to them. Perhaps I’m somehow doing this wrong, but from what I can see, the spiders don’t get attracted to the bait in these traps.

Traps don't work not sticky enough
I don't want to give this item such a low rating but the traps dont work at all "not sticking the very tiniest of spiders". I've seen spiders so tiny (the size of the head of a needle) go in the trap and they will wiggle around for about a half an hour and then crawl up the inside of the trap box and crawl out. The glue barely sticks on to the little tiny spiders. So if it doesn't stick the little tiny ones I'm sure it doesn't stick the big ones either. I even seen ants crawl in the trap they crawled straight across the glue like it wasn't even there and crawled back out. I don't know what type of glue that's in these traps but they're definitely not sticking not to tiny spiders or ants.I read the reviews on here before I bought the item so I was hoping for sure that it will work. But I guess you can't believe reviews . You have to test it out yourself. But these traps definitely don't stick. I have a lot of little tiny spiders crawling around my house and a few ants coming in around my windows. I only used about 12 out of 24 in the pack of the traps and I've seen dozens of tiny spiders in crawl in and all of them. So I'm glad I was able to return the item for refund.

Catching brown recluse spiders & scorpians!
Update: after serious extermination efforts, we kept the max guard traps in high traffic areas, and continue to catch large arachnids that are resistant to insecticide like this large scorpian pictured, and brown recluse spiders. We have been dealing with an infestation up in the Texas hill country. After DIY insecticide efforts, the big dudes were still getting in, and unfortunately that means some venomous spiders here in TX. I put these around my house until the exterminator can get out here, and on the very first day, we caught a huge brown recluse. The pic is what was left of him when we tried to pry him off (ick). Nothing is more terrifying than a poisonous spider, except a HUGE poisonous spider. So glad these sticky traps are strong enough to catch the big ones and keep them in the trap.

Placement matters
Placement matters. Buying again.Last summer, 4 traps caught 6-8 spiders each (about 30 total), 1 trap caught 2 spiders, and the remaining caught 0 spiders. A few carpet beetles and silverfish were caught, too.The spider types caught were grass and mouse spiders (Northwest US). The traps that caught the most were near doors and lights.
