Great treadmill that lasts years
This is a great treadmill. I've been using it for over 6 years I think now and it's still running. Able to do a 10k on it. It's never quite as smooth as a pro machine, but I think it's excellent for the price. Good for walks and running. Design is sufficient for home use. Easy to assemble. Easy to store. I should add that now the old thing does has some belt trouble. I have to lube it before every run. A few months ago I now get the Lube light permanent. But it still runs!

Good lilttle treadmill, with a caveat.
Got this as a Christmas present for myself to replace an old, huge treadmill that took up too much room, could not be folded, and had a incline feature that had stopped working long ago. For those that think this is too small, I can only think you must have humongous feet, or can't walk or run in a straight line, because there is plenty of room to walk or run on this thing. I'm a 70 year old female, and this was easy to set up (as long as someone helps you drag the box where you want it to go). It worked great right out of the box, with easy to understand and use controls. I particularly like being able to adjust speed or incline on the side handles. Data on the screen is easy to see in any light. And it is QUIET. Barely makes any sound at all. I can actually watch TV while walking and hear the TV without having to use blue tooth headphones anymore that are connected to it. The auto incline feature works great with the various programs you can select to give you varying degrees of incline throughout the workout. My only complaint is that for whatever reason, after using it several times, the incline never went back down to zero incline. The display says it is on 0, but it isn't. It physically stops at about 1. A solutiuon I have devised is to put a 1 x 3 board under the back supports so that it levels out the walking surface. Other than that, this was a great buy.

Quality and compact unit that meets expectations and then some
I spent a good amount of time going through a bunch of manufacturers of these type of walking/light jogging machines and finally decided on the XTERRA Folding Smart Treadmill. Knowing that I and the wife are primarily using this for fast walking I wanted to have a unit that had a power incline along with a more powerful motor that was capable of getting into the fast jogging to running mode so I knew that in fast walking mode the motor would have no issues accommodating that and wouldn't strain under that load. I will say that it came boxed well with the usual scrapes and tears that come with something of this size. Although it is billed as foldable and compact, it is a much heavier unit than I realized and it will take two people to get it to its destination even with it folded down. I had no intention of trying to store this unit or fold it up again once it got to its destination but because it was not as wide or long as some treadmills which was one of my primary concerns, this unit fit that bill nicely. The controls are easy enough and the machine is very quiet. I like that the tablet holder is a full size one that has no issue holding a 10" Fire tablet that I listen to podcasts or audible on while walking. This is a Smart unit and has the FTMS ability built in that essentially allows the unit to broadcast information to various apps such as Zwift, Kinomap, BitGym etc if you are looking for a way to spice things up or gamify your usage. It comes with a free no credit card trial of KinoMap which is neat but I am more focused on listening during my walks. There are probably more of these apps out there and as long as it supports the FTMS protocol then I suspect it will work with this device. Other than pulling up the handles and display and making sure they are locked in there is truly no setup. There is a heart rate monitor built in that senses your heart rate when holding onto the handles with the built in sensor which is surprisingly pretty darn accurate. If you are into any of the Peloton type of guided workouts than I would suggest downloading the Xterra App as it is free with the purchase and has a bunch of guided sessions as well as it has the ability to track your progress using the data from each session on the treadmill. The power incline works very well and I vary that during my 20-30 minute walks and was something I wanted in a treadmill like this and it does not disappoint. All in all this was a good purchase and as of now it looks like it will stand the test of time and has met our expectations for this type of usage.

I did a lot of research before buying this treadmill. I read the reviews from other buyers which were really helpful. I needed something that was well made, could handle daily runs but wasn’t too fancy or expensive. I also needed it to be easy to carry down to my basement and to move around. This treadmill meets all those criteria. It’s about 100lbs so my hubby and I got it down the stairs easily. Set up was really easy too and took about 15 minutes. The settings and display are straightforward and the preset programs are decent. I had debated on getting the Nordictrak but the reviews on the iFit app turned me off. I’m glad I went with the simpler option. The instruction manual is not very clear on all of the features or how to align the running track. Like I had no idea the oval raised silver features on the handles were heartbeat monitors. I watched some YouTube videos that were really helpful-just search the treadmill model and they’ll come up. When I first started using it, the track wasn't centered and it didn't run smoothly and was noisy. I easily adjusted the track after watching how to do it and it runs very quietly and smoothly now. I’ve been using it daily since I got it and I’m really happy with my purchase. If you’re looking for a solid treadmill with the basics at a great price-this is a great choice.
