Easy to cook. Good taste.
I loved the taste. Just like it was made by my grandma. I will buy another set. Easy to cook but I added a little more water to make it softer.

Filling, interesting
Have only tried one of the packets (these were the old style) - I bought these for my emergency cabinet. Observations: Packets arrived in a nice reusable bag with the company logo on it. They were, however covered with dust. I had to wipe them off. Not sure if it was rice powder, factory floor dust or warehouse dust. A little scary if one is concerned about food safety. I randomly decided to try the Vegetable Upma. Followed the microwave instructions on the pack. I added water to what appeared to be ground whole rice/rice powder spices and vegetable flakes. After 4 minutes in the microwave, it was very soupy...smelled mildly spicy. I thought it would thicken up a bit. It didn't. So, I put it back in the microwave for a couple of more minutes. It was thicker...so I left it to cool. Once it was cool enough to try, it was porridge consistency somewhat like a cream of rice . I tried it... had a nice flavor. Mildly spicey, warmish but no "heat." Would be really hard to call this a vegetable dish as there were virtually no vegetables. Anyhoo...It is filling and comforting. But, I don't think I would buy this particular flavor again.

No taste
I thought this would be rice when I ordered it just to order something different. It tastes like couscous but is mushy. It is bland. I didn't get through the first one. I'll try to find someone who likes it and let them have it. I wouldn't buy it again.

Very spicy
These were way spicier than expected and somewhat more bland than expected. So if that's what you're into, then these are for you.

Schezwan and Tangy are some of the best Vegetarian instant food I have tried during lockdown
I went on a buying binge for long shelf life, easy to make food when lockdown hit.Schezwan:This stuff is not what I expected when I got it. Im use to the tasty bite, instant indian food that all taste pretty much the same (lets be honest). Im not sure where the Schezwan part comes in other than its kinda spicy. Not enough to make your lips warm, but when it hits your stomach, you can feel the little bit of warmth to it. The flavor is pretty amazing for being vegetarian instant food. I cant identify any of the spices, but it all works out. Which makes for a new refreshing flavor that you arent already sick of.Tangy:This is my favorite so far, by far. I honestly was freaked out by the peanuts at first - Im not a fan of cooked peanuts in my food. The taste is so unusual and amazing though, the peanuts really add a nice hint to it and they arent crunchy, just softened up a bit. The addition of the curry leaves is what makes it incredible though.Never had them before trying this despite loving curry in its traditional forms. The leaves dont taste like what I thought they would. They are like a burst of fresh vegetable flavor. They are balanced perfectly though, not too much and not too little.I super recommend this stuff. Its very filling, you dont get hungry an hour or two later, and its very comforting when you want something warm but not soup, and are too lazy to make anything else. Takes like 3 minutes once you add the hot water for it to be ready.I wasnt sure about it when I first tried it - the flavors are so unique, but by the end of the cup, I was at my pc ordering more.Doesnt taste like Chinese, and doesnt taste like Indian from a real restaurant to me (It may taste like Indian and I just havent had the pleasure of trying that region of India yet). The consistancy is like stovetop stuffing if you add to the water line it suggests. I like to add to the "T" in "Water" on the marker for consistency more like cheddar rice or VERY fluffy stuffing once it absorbs the water. - Almost double the water it tells you to use. Adjust accordingly.I hope they add more flavors to the poha line like Tangy and Schezwan. The mix of spices that arent common is a really nice break from every other instant food that is available.

A day's worth of salt in one serving
I had hoped to find a quick, healthy entree for lunch or dinner, and I know that Indian food is generally tasty and healthy. Sadly, the Kapka cups aren't what I expected. The first one was so salty that I wondered why I hadn't noticed the sodium quantity when ordering. I did check one entree for sodium, and it wasn't scary high. But apparently the different entrees have different sodium content. That's a deal killer, not just because it's unhealthy, but because excessive salt content masks all other flavors. Fool me once, shame on you.

Delicious affordable meals
I needed something tasty and affordable to match with my packaged chicken for my lunches. These are delicious, quick and easy to prepare. I just add 2oz or 5oz of chicken to add more protein.
