These clear plastic sleeves with no holes are exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy top load 8.5 x 11 inch clear sleeves for documents, newspaper clippings and photos. I use them mostly for scrapbooking.

There is a difference between these and the "economy" ones, besides price
I've been using Avery Economy Clear Sheet Protectors for a while. They did the job but there were plenty of times I didn't need to put them in a binder. For those times, the additional section with the holes was nothing more than an annoyance.I got the VST protections only because they didn't have the "hole" part. To my surprise, besides being more convenient, the VST protectors have a heftier feel, and dry-erase ink comes off more easily and completely. The additional heftiness comes from these being thicker than the Avery version, 0.16mm thick vs 0.07; they are almost twice as thick.Beyond that, sheets really do slide in easier. Finally, the VST protectors are crystal clear. These benefits, for me, more than justify the additional cost.
