How am I supposed to install it?** A: Look carefully at the end of the unit where the tip fits in, you will see an indentation/u-shaped slot. Inside that slot is a little set screw. It has an Allen Head tip (regular screw driver won't work.) The correct size Allen wrench ( hexagon ).. should have come with the product. The Allen Wrench is a thin "L" shaped tool that is typically black in color.Simply loosen the Allen wrench far enough so the tip will slide in place and then tighten the Allen Wrench so the tip is locked in... then it is good to use.If you've lost the allen wrench, they sell inexpensive sets at Wal-Mart, if you have a nearby Hardware Store, take the WEN with you and you only need to buy one wrench versus a complete set.Hope this helps **Q: Is this a good tool for engraving (signing) stained glass?** A: I use mine on glass and haven't broke any as of yet. Inserting the bit into the collet, the end of the bit stops before reaching the set screw hole. Installing the set screw, it turns less than two complete times before bottoming out on something and the bit just falls out of the collet. BUT here is the trick, thanks to the great customer service representative whom I reached by phone: there is a set screw already screwed all the way into the collet! Not obvious, but all I had to do was remove the pre-installed set screw, place the bit into the collet and tighten the screw.
