Why does this taste like plastic!?

A year ago the taste was worse but I can tell they reformulated it in the last year because now it actually tastes alright.

Can i give this to my 14 and 16 year old boys ?

My whole family takes it (including my 10 & 12 yr olds). Not sure if there’s a specific allergy your concerned about but otherwise there’s no reason not to.
