Q: Does anybody knows why the lady on the video review is having a message that she needs a longer mat?

In the case of Cricut Maker 3, it seems that sometimes these aftermarket mats are a bit shorter overall than those from Cricut even though the grid area is still 12 x 12 (or 12 x 24). This may give the error that the mat is too short even though the entire project easily fits on the mat. I found that taping a small piece of cardstock or construction paper to the rear left corner of the mat that sticks off the edge a bit solves this problem. When the Cricut Maker 3 pulls the mat all the way through to measure it, and the edge of the mat clears the electronic eye on the deck of the infeed lip on the left, the small paper piece fools the eye into believing the mat is the proper size.
