Works like a real blender and the blades are SHARP! Beware of this when handling and cleaning the blades. I accidentally cut my finger when washing it by hand. It's a simple device to use. Put what you want inside, close and tighten the lid while matching the blade guide with the top and pull the pull string until your hearts content. The more you pull the smaller the pieces will be. I used it to chop up some spam and mixed in some eggs. With all of this said you still need to be mindful as to what you put inside. The softer the food you put in the easier it will shop. Things such as carrots may be a bit more challenging to cut up, so you may want to cut them into small pieces before putting them in the blender.
