O-Cedar Dual-Action Microfiber Duster Set with Extendable Handle

I’m really impressed with the O-Cedar Dual Action Microfiber Set. The dusting set comes with a fluffy microfiber hand duster for dry dusting and a dual-sided, flexible chenille and microfiber duster for deep cleaning. The bendable chenille and microfiber duster can be used dry or damp.I love how the microfiber duster has microscopic fibers that grab and hold dirt, dust and moisture. I especially use this on my ceiling fans. With the ability to use it damp it traps in the dust that forms on top of the fans. The fluffy microfiber duster easily removes dust and dirt particles from various surfaces. This works best for me on my ceilings with speckled paint. The cobwebs easily get caught up in the paint & this microfiber duster is the only thing I’ve found to thoroughly clean & eliminate the dust, dirt & cobwebs. The long, adjustable handle is sturdy & makes it easy the get hard-to-reach places. In measuring the handle it extends from 24" to 49." Once I adjust the handle it locks firmly in place & has never moved on me. I love how the duster set is machine washer. I wash on the hand wash cycle on cold & hang to dry. There’s nothing not to love with this cleaning set. I took a before & after picture of the cobwebs the microfiber duster got down from my ceiling. Super impressed. This is a great investment! I highly recommend!

Unfortunatly this item was delivered damaged. I picked this dusting tool because I thought it was well made. It is well made, but something very heavy damaged this item and the shipping box. The pole is made out of sturdy metal. I chose it over the poles that are designed like TV antennas (yes I am that old), because I consider that design weak and flawed. The handle and attachment connector are riveted to the pole. The flat duster bends easily, but holds the shape you set. Because mine came damaged I can't use the telescopic feature of the pole. Luckily I have another pole I can use that is just as sturdy. The attachments are really the main feature for me. I find returning something is a major pain and so I won't do that. This isn't an expensive item. In all the years as a Prime member this is the first time I received something damaged.

Overall, a good product but I have a couple complaints. The flat attachment doesn't work very well. The connection to the wand is weak and when you put it under something the front end bends upward leaving hardly any surface on the item you are dusting. It would probably work ok under a fridge because the fridge would help to keep it flat, but I wanted it for under some cabinets that come together in a corner and I couldn't reach back into the corner. It didn't work. The fluffy blue one did, tho. I really like that one. I can now reach all sorts of places I couldn't before. But it has a slight flaw, too. There is a detachable hook so you can supposedly interchange the dusters with the extension wand. But the hook doesn't fit properly on the fluffy blue one so in order to hang it, it has to be attached to the extension pole. It then gets complicated if you wanted to use it on the short handle and have to swap them back and forth because you can't just hang them up the way you last used them. And the fluffy blue handle is a bit short without the extra couple inches of the hook. Which is kind of silly to me since they are sold as a set. The hook should fit both, right? Other than that, tho, I really like this product.

After an appointment with an allergy specialist, I learned my worst allergy is dust mites and the worst thing to do was to dust with a DRY CLOTH - even with my trusty microfiber cloth! So what did he suggest? Dr. M. stressed using a damp cloth to contain those pesky dust mites. Now that’s rather easy for tabletops but for baseboards and ceiling fans and moldings; that’s another story! I tried putting a damp clean sock over my disposal duster but it kept moving around and really didn’t capture much dust. So I started looking and reading reviews. I really like this because I can lightly wet it ( even just lightly spray it with water) the clean baseboards, etc. It’s shocking how much debris this will pick up off a surface that you think looks clean! Begone Dust Mites!
