5-Star Review for Capture Carpet & Rug Dry Cleaner
I recently used the Capture Carpet & Rug Dry Cleaner, paired with the Capture Pre-Mist Soil Release and Spot Eliminator, and I’m blown away by the results! This dry cleaning system is a total game-changer for keeping carpets and rugs looking fresh and spotless without the hassle of wet cleaning. I tackled a variety of stains in my home—pet accidents, coffee spills, and some mystery marks on a high-traffic area rug—and this trio worked like magic. The process is incredibly simple and effective. I started by spraying the Capture Pre-Mist on the stained areas, which loosened up tough, set-in stains like coffee and grease with ease. Then, I sprinkled the Capture Dry Cleaning Powder, which acts like tiny sponges to soak up dirt and odors. After lightly brushing it in with the included carpet brush, I let it sit for about 30 minutes before vacuuming. The result? My carpets looked revitalized, smelled fresh, and were completely dry—no dampness or sticky residue! The powder’s ability to absorb stains and odors, especially when paired with the Pre-Mist, is impressive, and the Spot Eliminator was a lifesaver for stubborn grease spots. What I love most is how safe and convenient this system is. It’s free of harsh chemicals, making it perfect for homes with kids and pets, and it’s gentle enough for delicate wool rugs. The fact that it doesn’t require steam or shampoo means no waiting for carpets to dry, and the results rival professional cleaning at a fraction of the cost. Pairing the Dry Cleaner with the Pre-Mist and Spot Eliminator truly maximizes its stain-fighting power, ensuring every mark is addressed. This combo is a must-have for anyone looking to keep their carpets pristine. Five stars for an innovative, effective, and easy-to-use product

Easy to use and works quickly
On my second bucket! My elderly cat has had accidents on my rugs, and when I apply the cleaner, you wouldn't know that anything happened. It not only removes stains, it also removes the possibility of lingering smells. Great product!

~35 Years of Repeated and Satisfied Use
We started using this in the early 1990s for dog accidents, but have used it to clean entire rugs and for other spot cleaning. It works extremely well and has a great fresh scent. We've used it on very expensive rugs, and those rugs have maintained their like-new appearance for years. The way it works is ingenious: with a little dampness the particle expand and contact the dirt particles. When they dry, the particles shrink but keep the dirt attached. Vacuuming removes both the Capture particle and the attached dirt particle(s).Tip: do not saturate the area with the (required) Pre-Mist spray; use a light mist. Put another way, if the area is not dry and able to be vacuumed in about 30 minutes, then you are using too much Pre-Mist.

good enough
My experience with this powder is average. I cleaned the carpet on both floors of my house. If you do it as instructed (sprinkle and rub with a brush), you will soon find that some of the powder gets clogged in the brush; so I put on gloves and rub with my hands. It is quite tiring to do this over a large area and your hands beg for mercy. It refreshed my carpet (we don't have pets and are quite neat), but did not remove old paint stains in my daughter's room. Would I buy it again? Maybe, but I will clean each room separately.

The Product Leaves a Fine Dust
The reasons for my giving this product a 3 star rating.Pro's1) It does a very nice job in cleaning your carpet that is fact.2) It does leave a subtle scent after applying and vacuuming per the directions.3) when using the liquid Spot remover the combination does indeed lift out ground in dirt and spotsCon's1) It leaves a fine dust in the carpet, even after vacuuming the product per the directionsI know this for a fact due to the fact I used my Bissell Pro Heat Steam Cleaner directly after vacuuming theproduct up, and when powering up my Bissell I immediately saw dust flying up off the carpet that had beentreated with the product. Thus if you have allergies or sinus issues I would hesitate to use this product.2) After vacuuming the product up my vacuum motor was effected by the fine dust particles and was much louder.I took the vacuum apart and cleaned it the best I could to save the vacuum. Hence prepare to repair or replaceyour vacuum after use of this product. I used a bagless Bissell Power Force Vacuum about 4 years old with verylimited use.3) When using my Bissell Pro Heat Steamer the product left a pasty residue in the Extraction side of my tank. Thus the Bissell Power Heat did in fact clean up the majority of the dust left behind embedded in the carpet.Overall the product does what it is advertised to do, however the product definitely has some down sides to it.I would not use this product based on the Con's listed above. If you do not have allergies or sinus problems, and don't mind spending some time cleaning your vacuum after using the product I would recommend the product. It does certainly clean your carpet. However I also know Steam or a Wet style Carpet cleaner does the same job with the only drawback being drying time.

Pro Panels Like New Again
What a great product to clean up my Pro Panels I use at shows. Because of how they are made, no liquids or harsh chemicals can be used to clean them. So having a powder cleaner was a perfect option. I applied it to the panels, let it set for an hour, vacuumed it off and they were really clean again.
