I just received my Pasta bowls today and they’re PERFECT! Size is 9.2” wide, 1.18” high, 24 oz. I had been looking for the right size bowl, even returned a smaller set to Williams Sonoma, then saw these online and they are the absolute perfect size for me. You can serve a main dish plus side, or just salad, soup, or pasta in these. They are hefty and very sturdy, which I love. I cannot yet attest to chipping or wear issues yet, but I’m just happy knowing they are inspired by Gordon Ramsay. The added embossed circles make this bowl very modern and classy. The Maze White is very slightly off white, but so lovely and still white in color. Buy these if you’re looking for a decent size pasta bowl you can use for many other things. I saw many smaller pasta bowls out there, but this is the best size for general use.

This whole collection of Royal Doulton dinnerware, Gordon ramsay is spectacular! I have enough service pieces for 10-14 in the white maze and several peripheral pieces in both the white and the maze blue. I have rather a fetish when it comes to beautiful dishes! Although white, this dinnerware is awesome and sets the table in style whether you want a casual or fancy look. They scream refinement. I like that they are oversized (measure your shelf!), they never scratch and are very durable from table to dishwasher to freezer to oven. The bakeware is awesome too! I do agree it's expensive though worth it! As I am on a tight budget I am always looking for a good deal to round out my collection and this is certainly a wonderful price. Also can't go wrong with these fabulous large pasta bowls. Their size makes them so versatile for many uses, making them some of my most prized and utilized pieces!

Completely rewritten review after 1 year:Good:- They look nice. (I like plain, elegant, and mature dinnerware - no prints or weird designs.)- The plates are a little deep, so liquids won't spill everywhere...but read the dishwasher comment below.Neutral:- They're quite heavyBad:- The large plates are deep, so they don't stand up in the dishwasher - they always fall over (domino effect), which contributes to chipping- Several plates and mugs are chipped now. The plates kind of make sense because they don't stand up, but why the mugs? (The bowls are ok because I don't use them much.)- The manufacturer packs the pieces with the mugs under way too much pressure, supporting the outer structure. If the box is set on its side, two mugs have to support all the weight, too. That's just asking for trouble. If you really are compelled to do that, at least stuff the mugs with some kind of reinforcement. One of my mugs was completely destroyed.Summary:I think all pieces chip too easily, and it's really annoying that the large plates don't stand up in the dishwasher. That and the weight make me dislike using them. I prefer the small plates. Packing like that makes me wonder how many sets arrive with shattered mugs. Downgrading to 3 stars for the excessive chipping.

When we have salad for dinner, we use these bowls. Perfect size! Have held up well and still look brand new. I bought these from a department store several years ago. Purchased this set for our son and will purchase a set for our daughter.

We had 2 of these pasta bowls from a find at Home Goods (or one of those kind of stores). We used the 2 a lot and i decided to see if I could find more and here they were on Amazon with a serving bowl to match. They’re a pretty generous size bowl for pastas, salads, soups, fairly versatile. The serving bowl/platter is nice too. We definitely get a lot of use out of it.

I am sure they are lovely, however I didn't realize I would have to pay for returning them! Kinda crappy!

I purchased these for my daughter as a Christmas present in 2013 and every time I visit her I've thought how nice they were and would like a set of my own. They are perfect for the individual salad meals I often make as well as for serving pasta, and are dishwasher and microwave safe. They are not as white as the picture shows but more ivory in color (why I gave them 4 stars). They were rather expensive, but since it was a gift I bought them anyway. Today I was at a Home Goods store and looking at their dishes remembered that I wanted some pasta/salad bowls. To my surprise they had the same exact Gordon Ramsey, Royal Doulton bowls- for $4.99 each! Much less than what I paid on Amazon in 2013 or what they cost now! And yes, I did buy four.

Lovely bowl

This is a lovely, strong set of dishes but the design of the mugs makes them dribble easily. The dinner plates are huge and almost too big for the shelf. Other than that we love the set, especially the roomy bowls and the salad plates. They get used for small meals also.

I wanted something that would showcase my home prepared meals that I put so much effort in to. They do that plus are sturdy as well. They are not exactly lightweight if that is an issue but not overly heavy either. They just feel solid and sturdy and are very simple and beautiful as well. So far they have been great in the dishwasher. I'm very happy.
