Tuffy Security for Jeep Center Console
This product is excellent, fit into you 2018 Jeep Wrangler perfectly. I was always worried about leaving valuables in Jeep, but this product is good and provides a second layer of security for locked Jeeps.

2020 Rubicon - Great product / Tedious Install
My Rig: 2020 JL RubiconPros- Secure / Does not alter Jeep: Doe not require any drilling or mods to the vehicle. I was initially confused as how this could be possible while offering a reasonable amount of security. The play that the safe is installed within the confines of the console .. the result is the safe is wedged into the tight space.-Secure / Best option on market: It would take the right tools and some effort to break into this. I think as long as you are a reasonable consumer, not expecting the safe to be Fort Knox secure, you'll be happy with the result. I'm pretty comfortable with the odds of encountering a thief with the know how and desire to break this safe.-Functionality: Enough storage space for my concealed carry (Glock 19) and a few clips with room to spare. Some peeps have been complaining about losing the USB hookup in the console .. which is true .. while the safe is locked you will have no access .. this is not a big deal to me as the JLs have x2 other ports below the display screen.Cons:- Install is tedious, instructions are horrible.- The locking mechanism could be better (key). I would gladly pay a premium for a better / more advanced alternative (e.g., thumb print)Installation advice:-Some reviews suggest installing outside of vehicle first. I would this as the jam nuts will be less effective after the initial application. Rather, I would suggest laying out the parts outside of the console to understand the order, the screw locations are pretty intuitive .. application in the small space is the hassle.-I pulled the instructions from the manufacturer website (which had slightly better pictures). The best step by step instructions I was able to find were via an Amazon customer review (that appears to have since been deleted).-Pictures - I had a hard time finding pictures of the installed product to help me visual the install. I've included with this review to assist future buyers. The photos of the left and right legs (from within the safe) provide some clarity as to which direction the supporting pieces should align.-Brute force - I had to apply a decent amount of pressure on the legs to get them in right spot (aligned with the screws holes).-The last step is to install a bolt with plastic washers (which holds the lid open), this was the hardest part of the install for me. A) This is a hex bolt (I used a torx attachment / allen wrench; as I recall the instructions were wrong). B) You'll find that its nearly impossible to fit your hands tiny space required to really tighten this down. I ended up getting it as good as I could get it and called it a day. Is it slightly annoying? Sure .. That said it hasn't impacted functionality (have been using regularly for a few months).-This would be a pain in the a** without the right equipment. A small socket wrench and proper sized attachments make the install manageable. If I were to install again I'd ballpark 1-2 hours.

Great safe difficult to install
Overall the safe is seems very secure. However the installation process seems unnecessarily difficult. If a couple of the hard to get too nuts were attached to the plates it would be a lot easier. Also, I have a wrangle JL 4xe and was told by Tuffy to use the shorter legs however when installed they were very sloppy so tried the longer legs and with just a little persuasion they slipped in and every fits very nicely.

Nice safety box
Works great, i run the jeep doorless a lot in summer, this enables me to lock stuff up when at the park etc.

Solid safety box
Once installed this thing is great. I feel comfortable leaving things in there while my top and doors are off my jeep. The install however wasn't that pleasant. Maybe it's easier if you have smaller hands, or an extra set of hands to hold it in place. The location of the nuts that you have to get to make the installation a little frustrating. But after that it's an awesome product, highly recommend
