Product description These cords have been manufactured exclusively for DJSpares to our very tight specifications. Outside diameter = 2 x 4.5mm (zipped fig 8 format) - fits perfectly into the standard Technics cord grip. Core insulation diameter = 2.4mm. Core / screen capacitance of only 28pf per foot / 92.5pf per meter - specifically designed for phono / magnetic cartridge hook up's. Conductor resistance of only 0.07 ohm per meter. Gold plated phono plugs. 1.30m / 130cm / 51 inch long - same as original Technics Branded / printed along the cable = DJSPARES LOW CAPACITANCE HIGH-FIDELITY AUDIO CABLE Can be used to replace Panasonic / Technics part numbers SFDH122-05 / RJL2P009S12 / RJL4P002S12 Legal Disclaimer These cables / cords are aftermarket replacement parts which are not sourced from Technics / Panasonic Review: Getting the strain relief closed was hard, but it works - There are two reasons to pay over the odds for a phono lead that claims to be specifically for replacing the one on Technics decks. 1. The correct low capacitance value so as not to corrupt the sound. 2. The correct outer diameter and flexibility so that it can fit through the strain relief. I can't comment on 1 except to say that it seems to sound fine once fitted, but as regards 2, this cable at 4.5mm outer diameter is fatter than the original which I measured at 3.9mm, and less flexible too. Getting it the strain relief to close around it was hard work. I couldn't close it around the cord and then screw it down, I had to screw it down to the plate to get it to close. It did close, which is more than can be said for the random cable I had tried to use before, but it was really touch and go whether it would, and with the reduced flexibility there's a risk of putting a strain on the soldered joints when you're trying to push it down. It's done, it works, but I had hoped that a cable allegedly designed for the purpose would have been the same size so it was easier to fit.
