NPC Portraits Deck Fantasy

This deck fell far short of what I was expecting. There are a paltry few decent portraits included. The art is mediocre in most cases, stock art/photos, even sourced as such on the back, and some genuinely horrific looking CGI that looks like it came from some nerd’s fetish site. There’s not much diversity for a game of endless imagination; only a handful of nonwhite characters are present, MAYBE 5 in the whole deck, and at least two of those are green-skinned orcs. I would send it back but despite it being a “Prime” product it neither arrived in two days nor has free return shipping, so I’m just cutting my losses here. Hopefully this review will help dissuade others from making the same mistake. Also stop me if I’m wrong but did someone give Jean-Ralphio sideburns and call it a day?? Pics included are the “best” and WORST of the deck in my opinion.

Pretty great product to give players (and dms) a quick visualization. Has a decent mix of races too. Love the stats and background that is on the back of the cards. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is the artwork. It is really inconsistent. Some of it is drawn, some of it is 3d rendered. Most of it is good but some of the cards look really bad. All in all though it is definitely worth it.

While helpful in some ways I wasn't completely impressed by these cards. I used them more for portraits on NPCs than any stats on the cards. The artwork isn't bad but styles aren't consistent. Although not anywhere as bad as the deck#2 inconsistancy. If you're curious if this product would be helpful in your fantasy RPG try this deck first. Is only gets worse with deck #2.

I was hoping for something a bit more professional. The artwork was high school quality fantasy artwork. Some of it was poorly implemented CGI. I won't buy any more of these products.

I love it, anytime there is an npc that I plan on using continuously I pick a card that matches him/her. You can use this for any rpg. I used it for dnd 5e and it fits just right.

These are prefect for a DM, easy NPCs, especially those NPCs that aren't vital to your campaign. All the stats and the NPC background info on each card makes it easy to adapt them into a part of the campaign or counter when you've got that one neutral player who wants to attack everyone. I love these and one of the best investments that I made for my DMing.

These cards are pretty good! The stats, personality & backstory on the back are especially helpful. There are a couple of cards where the art is a bit off, but the other reviews have exaggerated how many of those there are.
