Very accurate and easy to use.
I have tried many breathalyzers and have been let down, not this one. It is easy to use, accurate, and fast reading. Get it, you won't be sorry.

Doesn't measure over .04%BAC
I have tried this a few times. When over .04%, it just gives you a warning light, but does not say what percentage you are at. Below .04% it seems to read fine. And since the legal limit in most states is 08%, this device is pretty much useless. Even if I am over whatever limit, I want to know what my BAC is..... so, unless I am missing something, I will be returning it.....

It simply does not work...not at all
I had two samples of this, both now returned for a refund. the first showed consistent false positives, indicating over-the-limit when I had no alcohol for a few days prior. The second showed consistent false negatives: reporting alcohol level of zero when I had a glass and a half of 14% ABV wine (roughly 7-8 ounces) 40 minutes before testing. Useless!

There is A Learning Curve To Use The Pro FC But It Can Be A Life Saver
The AlcoHAWK is a small unit that analyses your breath and provides a digital readout of your Blood Alcohol Content. The unit is approximately 4.5β x 2β x .75β and is very portable. It comes with 3 sealed mouthpieces(can be reused) and 2 x AAA batteries. Once the batteries are inserted, attach one of mouthpieces and switch on the power. The unit takes about 30 seconds to get warm and prep the sensor. There is an audible beep and βbLoβ is displayed. You NEED to take a deep breath and blow in a steady flow at a good pace. Donβt try to blow too hard and fast, or, light and slow. This is the learning curve that you need to master. If you get a single beep, the blow was successful and you will get a reading accurate to 3 decimals β β.008β is displayed as β008β. If you do not blow at the correct pace you get a βFLoβ display which requires you to switch off the unit and retry. I got FLo errors on the first few tries but after I started taking a deep breath through my mouth and blew at a good, steady pace, I started getting BAC readings. To calibrate my drinking against the Pro FC, I manually calculated my BAC based on alcohol content, quantity and my weight. The Pro FC was close enough for me to trust it. Even if the Pro FC is 100% accurate, I still treat the readings as directional and not look to maximize my drinking. I use the AlcoHAWK to ensure that I am within the legal limit. There are days when I feel fine after a few drinks and some days where external factors make me feel inebriated after just a single drink. The AlcoHAWK gives me a good data-point for me to make a decision.PLEASE READ the user manual which is just a small booklet for the detailed steps to ensure that you get an accurate BAC reading. One thing that I did not like was the absence of a carrying case for the unit. It is available as an accessory, but at the 90 dollar price-point atleast a basic case should be included to safeguard a sensitive electronic device. I am currently storing it in a Ziploc bag.The unit needs to be sent back to the manufacturer to be professionally calibrated after about 200 readings (manufacturer recommended). That costs about 30 dollars for this unit. You can also buy additional mouthpieces directly from the website.Recommended.
