I am SO sick of my favorite products being discontinued. This is (was) one of the best fruity, plant-based protein powders that I have ever come across so, NATURALLY, it must be discontinued.It mixed easily. If you drank it right away the little fruity bits would still be slightly "crispy", like the tiny marshmallows in hot chocolate mixes. If you let it sit for a while, 10 minutes or so, the fruit bits would moisten and add a nice zingy spark to the shake.It was fairly priced when it was being produced. It's overpriced now that there are so few remaining.I would mix it with half milk and half orange juice which would make it taste like a creamsicle. It was SO delicious. Alas, all good things must come to an end, especially when companies who are too large pay no attention to what their customers actually like.

The Spiru-Tein brand is definitely very expensive. But, it makes a really delicious shake or smoothie. The best taste on the market as far as I'm concerned, and I've been using it for many years.It is medically necessary for me to take Metamucil, (the psyllium powder mix) but I can't stand the taste of Metamucil. So the idea of incorporating the Spirutein Powder finally dawned on me and now I hardly taste the yukky Metamucil.If you are going to mix this with Metamucil, you need to experiment with amounts and you also need to drink a lot of water. What I do is follow with a couple cups of hot tea and half a Magnesium tablet.I also like the Spirutein Peaches and Cream and the Vanilla flavors, mixing bananas in with very cold milk or coconut milk in a blender.Be aware that this powder really requires a blender to mix well; I use a stick blender but a small blender such as the Magic Bullet would do the job.

This would be really good, except that the taste is so strong that it has a bitter after taste.

I’ve used Spirutein powders for years, but this is the first time I tried the tangerine flavor. It’s not as authentic as the vanilla or chocolate, or even some of the other flavors. There is a very artificial, cheesy orange flavor to it that overpowers your shake completely; however, it’s difficult to find a decent tasting plant-based shake powder, so it’s ok. In the future I’ll probably stick with some of the other flavors, which taste better.

When you mix this with juice it looks delicious. But a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice tastes a lot better. This is hard to mix and it does not dissolve well. It is called Tangerine Dream, but the ingredients just say "tangerine flavor." I was not able to taste any tangerine in it.

Good amount of protein with very little sugar/calories. Great taste. Just add your H2O or milk, some citrus fruit and veggies (carrots & spinach work well) & you’ve got a knockoff orange slush/shake!

The product arrived without the plastic lid to seal it after opening.

Love the taste - I mix it with OJ. Not sure if anyone else has had tummy issues with this. Caused gas, bloating, and many trips to the bathroom. Not sure what's in it to cause those issues. Anyone else have this problem?
