I received my book today. I am very interested in learning better communication skills with my friends and in relationships.After reading some of the questions in the book I will learn about myself along with learning more about my friends. Very happy about my purchase of this book.

My fiancé and I used this book and are almost through the one for engaged couples before our wedding next month and love them! One of our favorite things to do is cuddle up and talk so these were right up our alley. It’s been so much fun going through them; they cover almost every issue you could think of and the questions are a kind of nice mix between serious and more lighthearted topics, but it’s all there. Even including things like family of origin questions and future parenting preferences. We often used the prompts to branch off into other discussions, but it really does help you learn a lot about your partner which is the goal! What the author calls the “into-me-see” intimacy. We’ve recently started our marriage counseling, but have already discussed so many foundational topics from these books we’re now more prepared to delve into scripture specifically in guiding us in our marriage. The author is Christian but I would overall say the book is pretty neutral and can apply to all couples regardless of faith. Highly, highly recommended.

Jed Jurchenko is full of questions, and he has shared almost 800 of them in his series of Creative Conversations by which people can relate to each other in meaningful communication. This book is one of two for couples. There are four others; one before marriage, one for families, another for stepfamily success, and one to engage kids.The idea of using prompts to open up or liven up a time with others is a great idea. They provide a neutral source of origin, so that “being nosy” doesn't dampen the activity. You can just have fun!I recommend this book It's a great assist for getting to know someone a little better.

This book gave me some ideas to create conversations that would help me connect better to the one I love.It's pretty simple to read, and you can feel free to formulate the questions the way you want! (He didn't say that, I thought that would work great lol).Enjoy!

I bought this initially for my boyfriend and I to add to our daily devotionals. We liked it so much I bought a copy for my parents. They road trip quite a bit and like to take it along to make the trips more interesting.Whether you have been together for months or years or decades, if you are looking to get to know your partner, try this book.My only reason for four stars instead of five is that some of the questions seem to be really similar. So that brings about an almost identical conversation to a previous one.

I pulled the ones I needed versus sharing the entire book with a friend. Fir those new to the relationship game this book will help you open up and increase emotional intimacy.

Having bought his '131 Conversations that Engage Kids', I couldn't wait to try out '131 Creative Conversations for Couples'.Written in the same style, this book has lots of ideas for discussions with your significant other and I have picked out so many questions that I want to ask my husband (that I didn't know I wanted to ask!) that this will keep the conversation flowing for months and years to come as I dip back into it.As with his conversations for kids, I think many of Jed Jurchenko's questions can be used in other situations too, with friends and groups like my Life Story Writing Group.Kudos, Jed, on picking such great conversation pieces, open enough for both parties to have their say and expand on them, creating more happy memories.And his recommendation for deepening your relationship? "Stay curious about your loved one and remember to keep sharing your inner world as well." With this book, you can do just that.

Really great read, was fun doing these with my husband to be. We learnt a lot about each other 🙂

Relative short and obvious questions. Nevertheless, cool idea, very interesting for couples. Although, guys dont like to talk so much, its more a women thing.
