Could I buy a better solution by browsing home depot and making something myself?

It's very pretty, but also pretty cheapo.  The plastic is only worth about a penny. You are paying for the idea.  You could probably buy one pair and then scan them for 3D printing yourself.  Or wait until they hit the dollar store.  In my review, I explained how I had to drill it and add screws. I wanted my tablet to hang safely.  There are other much cheaper 3M stickies if you don't want to leave a mark on your wall. In fact, just use the 3M tape and skip this cheap (grade not price) plastic hook. Search Amazon for 3M Command strip refills. They are less than $3.

IF I'm understanding your question...The adhesive that comes with the holder is made to be very secure & once you have mounted it to the wall, you would probably do a lot of damage removing it!!!  The pad being held by the brackets can easily be taken out & travel with you anywhere; but NO the brackets themselves are NOT portable!!!

I want to buy the ipad wall mount kit.  but it will be used in a bathroom.  how do i order it to come with the bathroom compatible strips?

Will this fit a samsung s21 with a case on it?  i currently have the wall mount from you that only fits it without the case.  i need a deeper one.
