Connemara Marble: Ireland's National Gem

This was an interesting book about the quarry's where Connemara Marble is mined and areas of Ireland where it is located. I bought the book Connemara Marble because I bought a necklace on HSN that was made from the quarry where Stephan Walsh works/owns. He was on HSN selling his jewelry. I gave the book and a piece of jewelry to a friend and bought the book for myself too.

Since I have a couple of pieces of Connemara jewelry I was interested in knowing more about it. When I saw Amazon had Stephen's book about it I ordered it at once. The book is so interesting and full of history of Connemara marble and how it's been used over the years. This book is a piece of Irish history so if you are into everything Irish I highly recommend you get this book

Getting ready to take a trip to Ireland with family. The only thing that I really wanted to see while I was there was Connemara. Unfortunately, I was in the minority and that didn't make the itinerary. Stephen Walsh's book was a pleasant insight into what I will be missing. Very enjoyable reading and makes me want to see Connemara even more.
