It is very easy to use once you know how to. It works effectively. Although the machine is simple, I did try a few attempts to figure out how. Didn’t notice the user manual was in the bags and rolls, so I was just trying to use the machine without any instructions. So guys, make sure to look for it in the bags and rolls they gave you. I was complaining why it doesn’t have a user manual and then I found it after I already figured out lol. I like the customized bag cutter, it is a quick cut. But make sure you are leaving some room for sealing and more if you want to vacuum. You need to put the open bag in the vacuum chamber so you need at least two to three centimeters outside of your food. My first attempt is I am cutting the bag too small so I cannot vacuum it, I just sealed it. Another point to notice, you need to seal one side first if you are using the roll. My second attempt, I noticed the seal wasn’t perfect and the vacuum takes longer than I expected. It’s a failure because I didn’t noticed you need to press the lid hard until you hear click. I am just closing it in this attempt so that will not work out. I finally figured it out. If you are using the roll, cut your bag first with some room to seal both ends, seal one end first, put food in, make sure the bag open ends in the chamber, press the lid until you hear clicks, select mode (either dry or moist food), select vacuum seal, then it will work for you. The light will let you know if it is still working or it is done. Took me ten minutes to figure out all these without instructions and it works and exceeds my expectations.

UPDATE: Buyer beware, after using this for a month it broke, I am so disappointed with this vacuum sealer! I lIKed it at first but the quality is awful. It stopped vacuuming, then the sealing strip stopped getting hot. Please think twice about ordering this sealer. I am returning it and getting one that will actually work longer than 1 month. DO NOT BUY THIS SEALER!!!I've had numerous vacuum sealers over the years and this is by far the best one I have ever had. I do a lot of sealing of food for my deep freezer, and this one did great with everything from liquids to dry ingredients. I live in Florida where bugs can be a problem so I freeze almost all of my baking items such as flour, Bisquick, pancake mix, etc. I also buy extra items like sugar and seal it until I'm ready to use, this sealer sealed the first time and the seal was so good I didn't need to do a second seal. I can also seal a lot of items one right after the other without having to wait in between like I did with my previous sealers. I love that it has an attachment to seal liquids in the large containers, it vacuumed multiple containers of soup and fruit with no problem. Since I live in a hurricane area I also vacuum sealed important family photos and documents to protect them in case of flooding or hurricane damage, after sealing, it is a water-tight protection for things important. This sealer is so easy to use and the manual does a really good job of explaining how to operate it. The vac/pulse feature sets this sealer above other sealers available and gives me a lot of control on delicate items or liquids that I am putting into a sealing bag. I can't say enough good things about this machine, I am so happy with it, I have used it almost daily since I purchased it and always works perfect. I highly recommend this machine.

The cardboard box was awesome. It had a nifty little plastic handle that you can carry your cardboard box with. The issues i had, was that it came with a "vacuum sealer". Best bet, throw the content of the cardboard box in the trash and use it for storage of other things. Seriously.... did the 50 cent army write the 5 star reviews. This thing cannot even crush an over ripe tomato. Do Not Buy. ZIPLOCK BAGS DO A BETTER JOB.

Terrible cheap plastic.

This food vacuum works amazingly perfect. I love to buy big bulk of meat from Costco and cut it into small potions. In particular during the covid time, I love to buy tons of fresh foods all at once so don’t need to go out too often. This is a great food saver keeping the meat fresh. It does the work as description. It also comes with the cutter too. It’s small and save space. This vacuum is ready for use after unboxing. It’s very easy to use and I am highly recommend it.
