Doing a house renovation and went through a lot of these filters on a daily basis. They came with the mask I purchased, seemed to holdUp great against dust from lath and plaster removal.

I use these every day. I clean out a goats house and use cat litter to absorb urine. I don't smell the odor (I clean it every day so it's minimal) and the dust from the cat litter can destroy your lungs. These filters block out nearly 100% of it. I replace them very regularly in the mask (picture) and highly recommend them to anyone wanting to protect their lungs from toxic forms of dust.

These are simply particulate pre-filters to extend the life of your pricey chemical filters. They fit my 3M respirator perfectly, but note that you need the translucent plastic holder that is not included (3M #501 Filter Retainers).Cheaper than the 3M alternative, but appear to be good quality.
