Got both Vista and Quicken 2010 running without any major problems.I would definitely recommend this as a replacement for parallels if you have more than one mac and don't want to buy multiple licenses. I'm using mine to create several different operating system VMs on my Mac for different IT classes I'm taking in school. With VMware I'm able to quickly bring up, lets say, Windows 7 or Microsoft Server 2012 and have them run side by side while still running Mountain Lion OS X in the background. Installing and configuring a VM is a breeze with Fusion since all you really have to do is make a few selections and Fusion does the rest including configuring your user account on startup.There are several advantages for getting virtualization software like VMware Fusion 5. You can test updates, different operating systems, or run applications that are not compatible on your Mac in a virtual operating system without having to restart your computer like you would using Apple's Bootcamp. Saving snapshot of a clean instance of your VM is easy and rolling back to a snapshot takes only a few minutes if you ever need to rollback because of a virus or system corruption.One thing to be aware of is RAM usage if you plan on running more than one VM at a time.I'm running OS X Mountain Lion with 2.3GHz i5. When I first purchased VMware Fusion 5, I was running 4GB of Ram and had no problem running a VM or two. However, I sometimes noticed that my computer would slow down to a crawl because I needed more RAM in order to accommodate for the VMs I was running. I'm now running 16GB on my MacBook Pro and can run several VMs at the same time while having several applications running on OS X with no problems whatsoever.
