The Dinner Lady Detectives

It was a good read!
The synopsis for this one were interesting. It was good read but fell a bit for me at some places. Some parts were not required and could have been done with. The book started slow but picked up the pace moving forward.I enjoyed the relationship between Clem and Margery. The death of their manager brings unwanted stress to their lives. Though they weren't sharp to pick or connect dots they did better than the police who ignored everything. I wished there were some more clues or more edge to this. The twists though not much seemed making the ending and everything that happened with Caroline realistic. The writing was simple and easy. Overall it was decent.

Fun read
This is a fun cosey read. The characters are believable and there is an immediate sense of familiarity with the two main characters. This book won't tax your brain but is engaging. Great read for a rainy weekend or the beach.

Good read.
Too many characters to keep track of. Good story line and a bit of surprise at the end. Will be reading the second book!!

charmingly entertaining
I thought the book was like Miss Marple on steroids, slightly oddball characters, but in a good way! It was an extremely good read, and left me wanting to read more about them….. indeed I have obtained the rest of the series…..

delightful easy read
What a fabulous romp on a mystery murder. Found myself chuckling aloud at some of the dialogue. I can almost see the two Dinner Lady Detectives at a family gathering of elderly aunts!
