Gouda Moon Cheese - I've been buying this stuff for years. However, either my tastes have changed or ... they've changed the recipe because I don't really care for the flavor any more. I don't think I can fairly 'rate' something like this on personal preference - thus the 5 star review. It's still great that it's just cheese - that are dried and shelf stable without too much scary stuff. Also, I might like the cheddar better now - the gouda is a bit odd tasting overall - a little sour I would say. I did buy a second bag just to be sure it wasn't a 'bad' batch. Nope. It was the same. So, not for me, but maybe ok for others. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All of my reviews reflect my honest, personal experience with the reviewed item - your experience may be different. I am not influenced by any outside source. I receive/accept NO free products or discounts that are not available to all shoppers- ever. I also refuse to 'change' my review for a refund of a product I have given a poor review - and that is offered from time to time. It's a shame they phased this rating system out because it did help you see who has been around the longest and who is a trustworthy reviewer.  I've been doing reviews for over 25 years with Amazon - over 6,200 reviews posted, those reviews have been viewed well over 50,000 times, including well over 26,000 likes. BOTTOM LINE:  I pay for all my stuff, just like you do.

I love my Moon Cheese! But I will admit that the first time I ate it, I thought it was so gross and I believe I threw that first bag out. I am a low-carber, and I will try any snack that is low-carb, which is the reason I originally tried them. I've had similar cheese snacks before that I really loved, and I was surprised that I didn't like these when I first tried them. They definitely have a different taste than the other cheese snacks I've tried.I kept going back to give them another shot, and after a couple times of trying them, not only did I like them, but I loved them. How to explain them? Well, if you strictly go by taste, they do taste like cheese. Which makes sense, because they are made from cheese! But they are hard and crunchy like pretzel balls in a way. There's even a slight "greasy" feeling to them, like exists on a piece of cheese.There are only a couple of carbs in the entire bag! That was the real game-changer for me. The other cheese snacks I've tried all have many more carbs. While cheese is generally carb-free, it's not easy to find a cheese snack like these that is. I keep a few bags of these in my desk drawer at work, some at home, and one in the car. Each bag is resealable, but I tend to eat the entire bag in one sitting.My advice is that if you try them and aren't impressed the first time, give them another try. I am SO glad I did, because like I said I really disliked them the first time. Now they are a staple of mine.

These are crunchy bites of cheese. Don't have to be refrigerated. Salty. They taste just as described. I've tried several flavors and so far like them all. They are addictive, so as many times as I've tried to just eat a few at a time, They very rarely make it past 1 sitting.

When you first bite into one of these it is interesting and has good flavor, but then a few seconds later you get a bet of something like oil that just coats your mouth. That oily part caused everyone in my house hold to grab something to drink to try and get it out of our mouth.

They have something funky about their texture that makes them kind of squeak against your teeth in a way that is almost uncomfortable in a way, like nails on a chalkboard or forks on a plate. It's hard to describe unless you experience it yourself I guess...

Ordered by mistake but glad I did! These are so tasty and cheesy. Good name good description but the price is to much for the little bag. I opened and closed them, desperate to save for later, for 10 minutes until they were gone 😡😭

Pass on these. Taste horrible, tiny package for huge price tag.
