This was more expensive than some other brands listed, and even though I haven't purchased and compared this to those other brands, I'm extremely happy with this purchase from Elevation Lab, as I can verify that it is well designed and built - and therefore worth the cost (some of which is tied up in the two included precision ground torx screw driver and L shaped torx key).Use the easy to follow directions - for a perfect fit of the Air Tag in the plastic case halves. The outside case has a nice radius around the edges where screws are located - so it is low profile and does not catch on anything.I purchased this to replace a "key tag" type holder, which swung loosely from my dog's collar, and got in the way of the leash on walks. This holder can be placed virtually anywhere on the collar, and away from the leash attachment, so it is never swinging loose, and never in the way of the leash. I positioned it on my dog's nylon woven collar where there was a double thickness of nylon strap - so the plastic backing strap and screw heads are in contact with the 2nd layer of nylon strap, and not my dog's neck.Some complain that the plastic backing strap snapped. I have seen some You Tube videos that show mounting this strap perpendicular to the collar (across the width), but it is not designed for that, and the directions clearly point that out. So perhaps this is how the failure occurred. Others complain that they ripped the insert molded nuts out of the plastic base when screwing together. What I see is these are precision screws and nut inserts. The screws should be tightened only to compress the O-ring to complete the waterproof seal. Once the top plastic case half seats against the bottom plastic case holder, the screws tightening should be stopped. Any additional tightening risks cracking the plastic, or ripping out the nut inserts.For smaller dogs, with smaller diameter necks, or cats - the proper mounting may leave a large flat spot in the collar. Elevation Lab may want to keep this mind and design a small radius interface for small dog/cat collars. This is not a issue for my Lab with a 17" diameter collar.After a couple of months and multiple daily walks, I've had no issues, and remain very happy with this purchase.

I have been using this for about 2 weeks so I can’t speak to how long it lasts, but it feels very sturdy. All the parts screw together - no little plastic clips to snap off. There are small screws and you need to read the directions. I recommend you assemble it on a white paper or cloth, so you can keep track of the tiny screws. The design is well thought out. It is important to know that you will screw the AirTag case INTO your dog’s collar; I have a heavy webbing type collar, and it took a little work getting the screws through, but it’s not coming off. You won’t want this if your dog wears a leather or metal chain collar. I highly recommend this product.

These devices are great and attach well to collars. The product is well made and has the feel of precision with the threaded inserts and screws painted with thread lock. Additionally, tools for both sized screws are included. Another thoughtful feature is that two extra of the smaller screws were included, and both the external bag and the smaller enclosed bags were all zip close, so that they canbe resealed. A very well thought out product. The only possible issue is that the range of the AirTag signal seems that may be attenuated by the plastic enclosure, although it is difficult for me to confirm. I would recommend this product.

Product is well made, fits the tag perfectly. Depending on the type of collar, it may be difficult to puncture through it to fasten the housing to the collar. Once in place it looks great, low profile and lightweight.

Great fit on my dogs collar. Lasted about a year which was more than I expected. I only had to get a new one because mine broke trying to get it off the new collar. Waterproof and air tag still intact

I purchased this product with my own money and am not receiving any compensation for my review. I did not realize there was even a product like this until our neighbor's elderly rescue greyhound was lost for ten days after getting loose from their dog sitter. We live in a rural area near a river with steep terrain, small creeks, and a huge 100-acre farm. We helped to search for this dog for days and became more anxious and depressed with each day that passed. The owners organized grid searches, posted flyers, set up cameras and stations with food and their socks in a wagon wheel pattern surrounding their house, and eventually brought in a tracker dog to detect her scent before she was found alive, lost, crying, with a dog bite to her hind leg (most likely a coyote that was spotted on one of the trail cams) and having lost a significant amount of weight. Yes, it is possible that a dog can still get lost and lose its collar, making the device useless, but if the collar remains on the dog, this device can save a dog's life and save yourself and your neighbors countless hours of anxiety and despair if your dog goes missing. For me, I cannot put a price on that.It was easy to place the air tag inside the device, and the device was easy to install on the dog collar. Four small screws secure the device shut, encapsulating the air tag. Two screws secure the device to the dog's collar. I had no difficulty getting the screws through the collar. The screws are flat against the inside of the collar, along with a flat, thin, but sturdy plastic bracket. My dog has extremely sensitive skin, but this does not bother her. We do take her collar off every night to help prevent any irritation. I love that this glows in the dark; this feature is helpful when she needs to go out after dark. The app is easy to use. I sleep better at night knowing that we have this product for our dog.

I bought these for a Basset hound and a rat terrier, so their collars are different in size. The pieces themselves are very sturdy and everything you need is included. It is a little challenging to start the screws through a nylon collar, but I was able to do it. They have worked well so far (about 2 months) and were reasonable priced. I will update this review if anything changes.

These have been on my 2 German Shepherd dogs for 9 months. They roughly play fight constantly. They swim and paddle board with these on. Very tough, durable and waterproof. Highly recommend.

Love it. It’s not too heavy on her collar, yet it’s so sturdy, and the fact that it’s waterproof is a bonus. It’s self-piercing mount is perfect for a martingale collar that does not have a buckle (therefore can’t slip a case on).

The whole thing is so over engineered you can tell it's not coming if accidentally, some of the other holders feel a bit flimsy, but not this one
