How good are these!!! What a pair of headphones
First of all let me start by saying since I’ve pulled them out the box and connected which is so easy it’s untrue, I HAVE NOT HAD TO CHARGE THEM YET! Unboxing: Yet again Urbanista packaging not only feels nice it’s looks really good too. The headphones come with a stunning vegan leather case which is designed so the powerfoyle is on show and can be charged by sunlight or light in a room whilst in the case and powered on, (They do not charge when turned off). I walked around in the direct sunlight and the power bar on the app goes around to almost half way and that was on a cloudy day. Guessing that these will be very difficult to run down if you are using them outside. Unsurprisingly they are slower to charge indoors (the bar is only eighth of the way up). Fantastic Sound quality: Absolutely stunning! Have always loved Urbanista and if you have read my other reviews on their products you know I put them up against some good headphone brands. There is no need to do that this time as these bad boys are even better than the Miami I own. I’m sure the bass is heavier and deeper. Also I love the ANC noise reduction especially when watching TV with them. So I’ve listened to quite a few different genres of music to give them a right good test and wow do they still blow me away. Listening to some music it takes your breath away how good they are compared to more expensive headphones, from Hip Hop, Dance to Pop, Classical and Rock these headphones are suited for everyone and every music genre. Great job Urbanista. Comfort: If you are lucky enough to own a pair of Urbanista over-ear headphones you will know what they are very comfy. They sit and fit on your head and around your ears snugly keeping out all the other noises with just the foams pads. I lie down in bed and watch TV with them on no problems still comfy as. The band is totally adjustable and can fit a large size head no problems. Call quality and buttons: Brilliant again the clarity is fantastic and people say that me talking back to them is really clear too. Buttons work well and are positioned nicely making it easy to use. Final word: If your looking for a great pair of headphones that not only sound amazing but are going to last the sands of time when charged then these are for you. Seriously buy a pair you will not be disappointed… Track listing: Pa Salieu - Lit Fredo - Freestyle Wow - Post Malone Skepta - Eyes on me WSTRN - Professional Love Next - Wifey Ja Rule - Thug Lovin Omarion - Ice Box Tweet - Oops Usher - Bad Girl Black Sabbath - Paranoid Kings of Leon - Closer Slip Knot - Wait and Bleed Skunk Anansie - Weak Ed Sheeran - Shivers Adele - Easy on me Wham - Last Christmas Marlowe - Medicated Silicone Soul - Right on PKA - Temperature Rising Bisset - Every single time Ewan Mcvicar - Tell me something good Ludwig Van Beethoven - No 14 in C Sharp London Philharmonic Orchestra - Adagio for strings

Decent until it broke then impossible to get a replacement
This could be a great set of headphones. However after a couple of months the head strap broke, that's ok these come with a two year warranty. After some elongated email exchanges between myself and the manufacturer it was agreed that i would return the broken headphones to Germany, and then the return postage would be refunded and the product replaced. Great i thought. I sent the headphones back, recorded and signed for delivery, air mail so a bit on the expensive side. Emailed Brandvault Global, the supplier, a copy of the postage receipt which they agreed to reimburse. Then about 4 weeks later the headphones turn up back at my home address as Brandvault Global had refused the package. No response to any further correspondence and no replacement of broken headphones or reimbursement of the £18.00 postage. I than had to claim a refund for the headphones from Amazon, which they duly did quickly and easily. So personally i wouldn't recommended this product as the build quality isn't great and Brandvault Global dont want to get bothered by you if there is a problem. Not great.

Unique bass. ***Now broken*"*
I loves the trial of these headphones when I tried them in an airport shop. I put them in my Amazon basket and soon after I was offered a discount. Am I glad I bought them.... initially no I was disappointed. Too much bass and to EQ settings in the app. However after a firmware update a new EQ give you 6 settings of which 'balanced' is the best. It still gives you that meaty unique bass that no other headphones have but clearer vocals and better separation. Battery live is of course super. I have only charged them once since I got them, however now winter is approaching the solar gain is less. They are not faultless though. After a long period they nip my right ear. Outside use can be frustrating as the microphones always seem to be on and wind noise can be instrusive. The ANC is not the best and changes the sound to be a bit tinny. However I do adjust to it. Say that the sound isolation is so good I hardly use it. Build quality is finish is outstanding with a really cool open carry case that allows for solar charging. In summary....A really cool set of headphones. However, update a year on. The headband has snapped where it has on every other person's review with the same fault. This means one of the earphones pop up and doesn't sit on your ear. ****Basically now they are trash!!!!!**** Not holding out for any type of resolution from urbanista either!

Best headphones I've tried
I was skeptical when I bought these, but 4 months on I'm very glad I did. They're good quality, user friendly, comfortable, good sound quality, and they charge very easily in most light. The case they come with is good quality and designed so that even when in this case the solar aspect is uncovered so they still charge. I've used the cable once, I think? The battery lasts ages even in low light, but if I walk outside for half an hour in sunshine listening to music I usually net gain power haha! The companion app is good to check how much battery you're gaining and change modes etc The only issue I have had was the 'auto pause' feature kept pausing because I guess it thought I had taken them off? I assume its because I have a small head. Thankfully the app allows to you toggle on or off this function so I just turned it off and no more issues. These headphones were a lot of money for a pauper like me but I feel sure they're going to last me many years!

Great to listen to, painful to wear
Great sound quality, love the premise of the solar charger. However, the headphones aren’t comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, usually within an hour of putting on I get headaches around the top of my ears and my temples, which is an issue because I wear these at work. Outside that, the sound quality is top, the noice cancelling is just as good, just wish they had a more comfortable fit

But these now
These are excellent. Took them on holidays to Italy. Sound quality is very good and I never had to worry about power adapters- Very good product at great price and particularly great when abroad

Good battery life and sound but I'll Escape from LA ;-)
I have now used these headphones for 10 weeks and I think I am a relatively 'heavy' user at ~5-7 hours per day. First the good: battery life and solar charging is great and sounds is pretty good but... 1. the 'on-ear detection' feature was way to sensitive and it had to be turned off because it was pausing the music with the slightest movements (even while working at a desk!) 2. the noise cancelling is OK but not great, my partner's cheaper Soundcore headphones have better noise cancelling (I never used it much, to be honest) 3. the 3 buttons on the right (volume & power) are relative small, right next to each other and only have two slight ridges to aid distinction. Even after 10 weeks of relatively 'heavy' use, I never got used to them. I suspect style trumped ergonomics with the decision making when this part was designed. 4. from time-to-time (2-3 times a day) it would just power off while I'm listening to music or an audiobook. I could not detect a pattern or trigger but I just powered it up again and then everything would be fine for a while, so merely an annoyance. I suspected it was a Bluetooth interference issue. 5. I think I have normal-ish sized ears and although my ear did not fit (fully) within the rim of the earcup, the cushions are nice and soft, so they did not bug me initially but the pressure became uncomfortable and eventually painful after a few hours. I tried various headband adjustments but to no avail. This became my biggest annoyance until... 6. the plastic ridges of the headband broke as I was merely removing then from my head and placing them on my desk (no unusual forces). These headphones might be OK for a more infrequent/casual headphone user but I will not be seeking a replacement, refund or discount - I'm moving on to another brand but hope the solar tech is taken up by others.

amazing bit of tech
I was daily driving for music a set of Bose QC 35i.. upon trying the LA they blow the Bose out of the water..on the pc i use Astro A40 for gaming etc.. paired the LA to the blue tooth on the pc and just as amazed.. just cleaned the whole house with zero drop out from the signal.. sound quality is just amazing, they are comfy. can't wait to try them on the beach on holiday for the charging.. out in the garden even with our overcast day they still were charging. winner winner
