Great quality and helps those who need sensory input
My daughter is on the spectrum and has an obsession with licking and putting items in her mouth and has recently started licking surfaces. I bought this in order to help support her sensory needs and hopefully eliminate or decrease the undesired behavior. I have to say it has helped tremendously from day one, she is chewing on these necklaces and getting her needs met while eliminating the undesired behavior. It has held up and has not ripped broken or anything, she stretches it chews it swings it at times and has stayed the same. Great quality, would definitely buy again. She is also a kid who doesn’t like jewelry on her but with practice and redirecting she has managed to tolerate it around her neck.

Great product
(For reference my son is 8 and has a good amount of his adult teeth in already. He does have PICA with a preferred texture being similar to rubber, things that are “springy” or slinky like, hard metals, and cloth like textures). Received these yesterday with a bunch of others that I brought for my son. These immediately became his favorite. As I mentioned, he likes springy like textures and this became number one of his top 2. He did think the taste was strange at first…but that was more than likely because he reached for and immediately started chewing before I had the chance to soak and wash them. But after I took it back and washed everything, he didn’t think it tasted strange anymore. He likes the fact that he can stretch it and it goes back into place (which is great considering he stretches it over his kneecaps while he chews on it🤦🏽♀️) so I’d say it’s quite durable when it comes to stretching then coming back to its original size. Then he enjoys the springy texture and it doesn’t hurt his teeth when chewing. It seems as if he’d have to really pierce his teeth through to break it. So I’d say it’s safe. I’d say it’s fine style wise. We weren’t really going for style, more so the springy texture is what he needed. However, not like a choker necklace, it hangs down and is a great size. That would’ve been my concern but it hangs like one of those candy necklaces, which is great.

Discreet, durable, and always within reach!
In my autism classroom, the Sensory Chew Necklace has been a fantastic tool for students who benefit from oral sensory input. The cord design makes it easy to wear and ensures the chew is always accessible when needed. Durability: Built to withstand strong chewing, it lasts far longer than many alternatives. Cord design: Comfortable to wear and keeps the chew tool handy, reducing frustration and lost items. Safety: This does not have a clasp so I would caution to only use with close supervision. Discreet appearance: Looks like a simple necklace, so students feel confident wearing it in class or public settings. Classroom-friendly: Easy to clean and sanitize, which is essential for daily use. I’ve seen students use these necklaces during transitions, group activities, or stressful moments, and they help reduce anxiety while supporting focus and participation. Verdict: Highly recommended for classrooms, therapy settings, and home use. A practical, durable, and discreet way to support sensory needs.

Perfect for sensory seeking toddlers
I ordered these for my toddler who had started biting herself. She loves them! The colors are cute and the material is the perfect chewy texture. She has gnawed on them for months and they do not have any signs of wear. The colors are cute and bright, they fit around her neck and wrist without being too restrictive. She can easily get them on and off. You get 6 necklaces and 6 bracelets so it is a great value for the money. They are stretchy and loose so I feel safe letting her walk around with them on. I don't worry about her getting choked. Highly recommend these for parents with chewing toddlers.

Wash before use!!
It should go without saying that anything you intentionally give your child to chew on or put in their mouth should be cleaned beforehand. But for anyone that plans to give their kiddo these straight out of the package, know that they have a TERRIBLE taste. I can't even describe it really, but it reminded me of the bitter nail polish you use to help stop nail-biting. Definitely something that'll make you spit and have to scrub your tongue to get off. I always test what I'm giving my daughter, whether it's food or something like this that she'll put in her mouth. This was a rude surprise to taste considering it's specifically for children, and most likely special needs kiddos at that. Thankfully the taste went away after a simple handscrub with Dawn but geez it was gross. I can still taste it as I'm writing this and I got this package a month ago. Other than that these work great at intended. They'll be perfect for fidget toys or kiddos that like oral sensory stimulation (putting things in their mouth). 4/5

Boil In Hot water
Be sure to boil In Hot water before you use them. They taste disgusting like chemicals. I boiled in hot water and the kids were happy. They work perfect.

My autistic son’s favorite chewy!
This sensory chewy is the only style my 6 year old sensory seeker enjoys! We buy them often. They are safe, easy to clean, and have fun colors. My son loves stretching them in his feet and through his hands as well as chewing on them when he needs the input.

The necklaces stretch way too much, almost three times its original length, causing them to be less functional and potentially unsafe.

Easy to clean, bought so my daughter would stop chewing her hair. Did the job perfectly. Her teachers have commented that she focuses better when she wears one in class.

They feel like hard plastic. Not silicone as advertised, which makes me doubt every other claim in the product description.
