No flaws found, no jagged bits often seen in molded plastic. This palette holds 18 colors, which is plenty for me, and I like the small size that’s easy to store in an art cabinet. Despite the size there’s an extraordinary amount of mixing space, which I love. Solidly made, easy to open and close, and the locking closure means it won’t open accidentally. I can’t vouch for the seller’s claim that it’s airtight but I don’t prefer that. I use this palette for watercolors so I want the paints to dry between uses—to avoid mold. With the latch down it does stay closed partway which I like, keeping dirt and dust out of the paint while the paint dries. Once each well is dry I snap it shut and know everything is tidy and protected. I have an even smaller travel palette but this would be good for travel as well.

Product was just as described. The palette feels sturdy and seems made well. I am very happy as this was well worth the purchase price. I will be buying again soon for another brand set of watercolors I have

I liked almost everything about this palette: the overall size was small enough to fit in my art bag nicely yet still held 18 different colors, the extra mixing tray was handy, I liked the closing lid and the bonus mustache sticker! However, I tested it with clear water to see if it was leak proof. It was not. Water poured right out of it with the lid completely shut and the latch snapped closed. I then ordered the Falling in Art 18 Paint Wells Palette and also tested it with clear water. Nothing leaked out! I am keeping the latter and returning Mr. Pen since I need to transport wet watercolors from class to home.

These thoughtful palettes have an array of bright colors, are made of a lightweight and durable plastic thats perfect for travel , plein aire or home. I have several which are easily identified to me by its colorful top. Two have watercolor paints, one have gouache and one has acrylics.I love that it holds 18 colors which is not too many choices but more than enough to mix any color I need. There is an extra removable mixing tray which is so useful. The best part of this palette is the versatility it offers because of its size, seal in adaptability and lightweight. Cluck for buck to boot. Highly recommend.

I really like this palette. I am fairly new to watercolor and have tried several palettes prior to this one. They were workable except for the fact the paint dried up in the wells or I had to wash it out every each use. Each time I painted, I needed to get paint for the tubes, put it into the wells and then mix as needed.I decided to try this palette and haven’t looked pack. They were workable palette has 18 wells for paint. I think each can fit a pan, but since I use tubes, I am not sure. But, I can load up to 18 colors in the palette, and when I am done I can close the lid, lock it and the paint stays inside. I might have to reactivate a color with some water next time, but I no longer have to reload the colors every time.An added bonus is the removable mixing tray that is big enough to make several mixes or washes at one rime without having them run together. The removable tray is easy to clean, and the wetted paint does not “bead up” like some other plastic trays I have used. The tray did stain the first time I used it, and I can see some light pastel stains, but since then, every time I use it, I can easily clean it with water and a paper towel.It fits my needs perfectly and fits nicely inside my ArtBox paint box.

This palette is exactly as described. I really like that it has the two larger areas to mix paint and then the smaller wells for so many other colors. The fact that it closes is very handy as well. Keeps mess to a minimum and helps keep your paint wet longer. I have purchased two. I like Mr. Pen products overall. Good products for reasonable prices with great packaging. I feel they offer innovative and reliable products.
