Ready, set
This was a great value staple starter dye supply. I can see myself replacing this set time and time again. The moshify measure spoons fit in the cans and I can't get enough of those spoons.

Beautiful colors and combinations. I adore dyeing fabric with these bright beauties!
Great color choices and vibrant colors! I've made multiple pieces of fabrics for quilting, applique and much more. Absolutely love these products. Use caution when you are working with the powder dyes so you can avoid inhaling the powder. Wear a mask with filters when using this product.

I Am THRILLED To Have This Set- It Is EXACTLY What I Wanted
I have been doing dyeing for some years now. One of my favorite dyes to use for rayon and cotton is Jacquard Procion. This set is FABULOUS.HOW THIS COMESThis comes in a big box with 8 large jars of Procion dye. It also comes with a plastic bag of soda ash (enough to do several dye batches). Lastly it comes with scoops for each dye, which I love having.WHAT ELSE YOU WILL NEEDIn order to use this set, you will need to have salt- without iodine in it. Regular table salt without iodine will work fine.HOW TO USEI see they have changed the directions on these jars of dye a little bit. Here is how I like to use these dyes. I put a large bucket under the bath tub tap. I fill it with very warm water and dissolve salt into it (about a cup). I soak the fabric in there for about 20 minutes or so. Then I add the dye and let it sit for a while longer- perhaps 20 minutes or so, stirring occasionally. Once it has soaked and been blended enough, then I slowly add pre-dissolved soda ash to the mix stirring constantly. I let it sit in the bucket for about an hour or so, stirring often.TIE DYETo do Tie Dye, I like to soak the fabric in soda ash water (this comes with soda ash to get you started. Washing Soda is the same thing). When I am mixing my dye in bottles, I use water that has some salt dissolved in it already. That makes the colors run deeper.Once you tie up your shirt, then you dispense with the bottles and cover in a plastic bag leaving it overnight. Rinse and dry. You can also wash with a detergent that has suspension agents in it that will lift the dye out of the shirt that is extra and not let it back into the shirt to look muddy.PERFORMANCEAs you can see from my photo, this dye performs very well. The colors are vibrant and a little bit of dye goes a long way. This kit should last a long time. I washed that shirt a few times and it is still bright.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a very good set of fabric dyes for cotton, rayon, and linen. It tends to work well on plant fibers. If used as directed it gives vibrant colors, and the added soda ash and scoops is fantastic to round it out for all you need except salt.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. This price is a good price. Our only art store in our area where I used to buy these dyes has gone out of business so I have to send for my dyes. This kit is PERFECT for creating almost any combination of colors I want.

This is the best dye
I've been using this brand dye for several years. I love it. I get the best results with this Jacquard Procion dye and I'm so pleased to get this kit-- since there is such a variety of colors included.I've dies so many items-- cotton, linen, even wool. The trick is to clean the fabric with synthrapol prior to dying-- even if your item is clean. Doing this improves your results immensely. Next, add the right amount of soda ash to your dye bath. Also use the correct amount of dye. Because I need everything to stay as clean as possible (dying can be messy), I alwasy use my washing machine to dye. I keep the lid up to avoid it draining and agitate every few minutes. I soak, agitate, soak, agitate. i leave things in longer. Then I run the entire cycle. There are other instructions for dying-- this is what I do, though, and it works for me. ON occasion, I've stripped color and re-dyed following the instructions above. This is excellent quality dye.

Jacquard Procion is the best
This is the best tie dye you will ever use. Hands down. Bar none. If you want bold, gorgeous, long lasting color, this is what you want. If you want the white to stay white in between your colors of tie dye, this is what you use. If you want a fun cheap project with your kids to make a mess, use something else, because this is the good stuff. My husband likes tie dye, we tie dye him a wardrobe twice a year. Yes, I said wardrobe. We have received wedding invites that say, please no tie dye. We don’t attend those weddings.Anyway, this is not your average dye, I would highly recommend you watch the Jacquard Procion dyeing videos that are out there. Because this is not typical dye. This dye is fiber reactive and can be used on cellulose, vegetable-based fibers: cotton, linen, jute, hemp, sisal, rayon. The soda ash step is critical, it’s the soda that activates your dye. Also since we got a water softener in our house, our tie dye are much better.
