Fermtech Regular 5/16" Auto Siphon 24" Length with 8 feet of Tubing, clear, 1 piece

I bought this after using a standard racking cane and tube on many batches of home brewed Mead. This made my life so much easier and speeded up my racking to a secondary carboy and bottling. Will tell everyone I know that does home brew about it! It comes apart so easily and cleans just as easily. Putting the tubing on the inner pipe was very easy for me because I let hot water run over it for a minute. Worked just fine on my one gallon carboy and my 2 gallon brew buckets. Can’t wait to use it on my 6.5 gallon batch. Would buy this again.

I ordered one of these and the item I received was broken on arrival. I received great customer service. It was not evident while it was in the package, but there was a quarter-sized star-shaped crack on the side of the main part of the siphon tube that made the first unit I received unusable. I contacted the seller and they worked quickly to remedy the issue. I returned the broken item via an Amazon kiosk at a retailer near me, and the new one was shipped to me. It was not very long before it arrived. I received it and the new unit was in perfect condition. I have used it several times since then. Works wonderfully. It is a bit difficult to get the 8 foot of tubing onto the siphon angled tube at the top (heated water is your friend), and you have to be careful when putting it on to fully support the angled tube so that it won't break. The plastic seems a bit brittle, but it is not flimsy. So long as you are careful and don't over-flex the angled tube, you should be fine. Also don't let the tubing drag as dead weight on that tube if you can help it to increase the longevity of the siphon. The packaging for shipping could be improved to better protect that top angled tube from impact. Both the units I received were put in a box that was too long for the item by almost a foot and a half, and the padding was just a couple of shreds of partially-wadded paper that were not positioned to cushion where the tube was. One good impact to that tube and the whole siphon is ruined. I was lucky that wasn't my issue on either unit I received.

This is a great product. It works as advertised. Easy to use.

Worked as intended. 8' hose included. 1-2 pumps gets things going. Solved problems of lifting heavy containers around. Keeps things sterile. No issues whatsoever.

Came quickly and as described. I thought I was missing the clip and bottling attachment but it doesn't come with that. Luckily I already had those from my last one. It works really well. Just don't leave it in the Star San for too long or any cleaning solution. My first one cracked after a while because I didn't realize that. Use it, clean it and dry it right after use.

Absolutely love this thing. I had a mini for my 1 gal carboys, but I just got some 5 gal carboys and started using them, so I needed a larger siphon. Since I loved the mini by fermtech, I decided to buy this regular size one as well, and I am not disappointed at all. Would 100% recommend for racking mead / wine if you're looking for something to help you out. The only downside is that they can be a bit tough to clean correctly. This is nothing to do with fermtech, but its just given the shape of the siphon. Make sure you get a brush that can fit inside to clean it.

This is a great and easy to use auto siphon that is essential to any brew day. Once this one is worn to the point of no return, I plan on buying this exact one again. I like - - 8 feet of included hose was WAY more than I needed. However, I'd rather have too much than not enough. - The plastic nozzle head on the bottom can handle just about anything without getting clogged. I've used to to drain a clogged mash tun with about 12 pounds of grain in it and it maybe clogged twice in twenty minutes. That's about the most extreme thing you can throw at a siphon and it handled it better than expected (thankfully). I dislike- -nothing yet Overall, for the price this is an item that should be on your must buy list if you're brewing at home.

Excelente herramienta básica para cualquier cervecero artesanal o casero. Recomiendo tener 2 porque si una se contamina o quiebra duele mucho no tenerlas a la mano. Me dura años mientras las limpie después de cada uso, y no las deje mucho tiempo remojándose en limpiadores como PBW que pueden resquebrajar el plástico a la larga.

Easy to use. Seems to be well made. Hose is plenty long. Emptied my 30 fermenting vat in just a few short minutes. Very pleased with purchase

The listing states that this is the full-size autosiphon. However, the siphon I received is about twenty centimeters shorter. This makes siphoning quite a bit harder. I've exchanged several times and keep receiving the same wrong size.

I found that to avoid it drawing air when pumping there are 2 things that will help: - Never pull the pump higher than the fluid level. - Keep a bit of the fluid (1/2" or 2cm) on top of the plunger. It pumps smoothly and syphons at a good rate. I've had no issues with sediment transfer thanks to the easily removable plastic sediment avoider at the bottom. Easily comes apart for proper sanitation. Good value for the price.

Because I use for 1 gallon beer, it’s too long for me. But works perfect!
