If you live in a flood zone its a must have!
Saved my home from a small storm we had last year! i was able to install these one on my front and one on my back door. No water came in!! Worked well and saved me from having to submit a claim on my insurance. At first i thought it was too expensive but now that it saved my home its worth every penny! Strong and fast to install and isnt heavy i think my dog is more heavy than this haha.

Worth Every Penny I Paid
We bought this 5 years ago after Hurricane Michael stalled over our area for several days and water rose in our yard, coming within an inch of coming inside out home. Thankfully we haven’t needed it since until Hurricane Debby also decided to hang around, causing more flooding. We installed this gate between our front wood door and storm door and caulked around the lower outside of the storm door, then placed sandbags against the storm door. It may be a combination of all this but not a drop iof water entered our home. I got up every 2 hours during the night to check the door and it was bone dry. I felt a lot of peace knowing the gate was doing its job. The neoprene cover fit so snugly into the doorframe you could tell it was going to do its job. My only dislike is I wish the neoprene cover was gray or black and not bright orange so that it brings so much attention to our house by anyone who drives by. If you have any type of flooding in your area we highly recommend splurging on this floodgate.

Excellent. Live saving.
Six months after we bought our house Hurricane Ian put 12 inches of flood water in our house. After that we had a wall built around our house with 3 openings. 2 at 48 inches and 1 at 36 inches. Specs bases on these gates. Last Thursday after Hurricane Milton, at high tide, my wife and I sat on our back patio as over 16 inches of flood water surrounded our home. A home FEMA has labeled as a severe repetitive loss property. Not a drop of water entered our home. One big gate came with the bottom loose, but it was still functional.Thank you so much. These gates saved us months of heartache.

It doesn’t work as is
We installed two of these in preparation for the Hurricane Milton: one for our front door, the other for the back door. We tested it by shooting water jet through on all 3 sides to make sure no water was coming through the sides. We placed about 30 jumbo quick dams outside of our sliding door as well. They didn’t work. As the water started backing up from the storm drain due to excessive rain, the water seeped through the bottom. Our whole house was flooded with 10 inches of water.

Works great
This was a house saver. We had six or seven strong storm cells in one night with over 8 inches of rain in 5 hours. When we thought the storm was over another one would pop up and drop a lot of rain. We had this water dam gate in our door and it kept the floods of rain waters out.I am very pleased with this product. It was easy to put in, just take the ratchet wrench tool that comes with it and tighten it between your door post, then to take it out use the same tool and loosen it to release it from the door post and put it away.I would buy again if I needed one.

Fits tightly
Looks sturdy. Haven’t needed to use it for a flood yet. Hope I never do. But after repeated water coming under the door needed something that looked like it would work.

Not perfect and could be less expensive
I have not fully tested it but have used it on close calls where the water at the cellar door approaches the door sill. I would say it is a sturdy device and really locks in place. But for the money, it seems more like a glorified scissor jack to change a tire. Sure wrap a good waterproof cloth around it, make some design changes and it if really works it saves a lot of money. I just did not have time to search for something a bit cheaper.Oh- and if it is raining, the water gets behind the top of the barrier and drips down to the door causing some seeping at the door sill. Not like a flood but still needing to figure that one out.

Worked great,
Have had basement flooding from an overflowing walkway that leads to a basement door in a house we moved into recently. I bought this QuickDam FloodGate for extra security as I try to figure out the drainage issues (but there were signs that this was an issue before we moved in). During a heavy rain storm where the walkway overflowed, the water started to flow into the basement, but after tightening the bottom screws a bit more, it worked great. I could open my door, look out, and see a pool in the walkway but nothing was coming through.Installation is simple but the bottom screws for the floor seal are a bit flimsy. It comes with a wrench that works well for the side wall pressure but annoying for the floor seal. there was really no way to know if it was sealed enough until I saw the water come through.Nevertheless, I recommend this product. $100 less than an alternative I saw, and despite some flooding, saved me a lot of clean-up with some adjustments. Great purchase.
