Mambe100% Waterproof Furniture Cover for Pets and People (King/Queen 90"x 90", Chocolate-Cappuccino)

I did a lot of research before spending this much money on a waterproof blanket; we have 5 indoor cats and one has recently fancied himself as an interior designer, telling us (with liquid) what items of furniture and soft furnishings he doesn't like. We got sick of repeatedly sending duvets and cushions to the dry cleaners, spraying everything down with enzyme cleaner, only for it to happen again. We've also been incredibly disappointed with other "waterproof" offerings on the market; they're not "proof", more like "resistant".As soon as we purchased this king-sized Mambe waterproof blanket, the unwelcome eliminations appear to have stopped. Just the way isn't it? The cats absolutely love the feel of the fibres on their paws, snoozing on it immediately. It also doesn't get hooked into their claws, so there's no threads to pull. It's heavily weighted and warm, and is great to snuggle up with ourselves!Given the recent good behaviour, we've decided we can finally invest a new sofa, so we've ordered another Mambe blanket. We'll be taking the one on our bed, covered in their own scent, downstairs when the sofa arrives. Fingers crossed and thanks Mambe!!!

Exactly as described

This material allows the fur to weave tightly into the fabric. I thought since this was a furniture cover for pets that the material that it is made out of would repel or at least release fur with vacuuming or shaking out. I have a Kirby vacuum attachment for pet hair removal. It works like a charm on all other materials. But this material is stubborn to releasing pet hair and a lot of the fur will not release. I have to put a sheet over this pet blanket until I figure out a better top cover to go over this. I could return this item, but I feel it isn't the companies fault. Their claim is waterproof which I believe it most likely is by all the reviews. I am just surprised that the material this is made out of is so pet fur unfriendly.

Washing the duvet cover, comforter, blanket and sheets twice in one week (thanks to a cat who decided peeing on the bed is fun) left me with the option of either covering the bed with a tarp or finding something that would serve the same purpose and actually look good. This was it. It matches the bedding, doesn't look or feel like a tarp, and completely does what it says it does -- keeps liquid on just this layer, protecting everything underneath. It washes nicely (I run a few additional spin cycles to get as much water out -- this fabric is very absorbent, so more spin cycles just helps with the drying time). I was hesitant because of the price, but it's already paid for itself when I consider how much time and money it costs to do wash and dry the down comforter given I have to take it to the laundromat, since it's too big for my own washing machine and dryer. The Mambe can be washed at home fast and easy.
