TERRO T2502 Ready-to-Use Indoor Fruit Fly Trap with Built in Window - 2 Traps + 90 day Lure Supply

For the life of me I cannot figure out why the Terro FFTs are rated lower on Amazon than the Zeros. Compare and contrast this Terro fruit fly trap to the Zevo FFT. I tried the Terro and the Zevo side by side next to our kitchen sink, a popular fruit fly hang out at our house. A single Zevo device and only one cartridge for it is $20 on Amazon (round numbers); the unit I bought with only 2 devices and 2 cartridges was almost $38. And while I'm sure the additional expense is minimal, the Zevo must be plugged in and use electricity to work. Compare to the $20 I spent for SIX Terro FFTs and enough bait to refill them several times. Way cheaper! But cheaper means nothing if it doesn’t work, right? Well, you can tell be the pictures, the Terro works and it works very well. Not sure of the exact count but in the picture you can see more than 10 fly floaters…or sinkers as the case may be. The Zevo, not so much in my house, only two flies on this unit that sat just a couple of feet from the Terro. I plugged the second Zevo in at our wet bar, another fly hotspot in our house. This Zevo trap did NOT have a Terro next to it and it only trapped one fly. And the Zevo had been plugged in next to the sink for several days before I put the Terro out next to it. So the Zevo had plenty of time on its own to trap flies but it didn’t. The Terro requires no power and they can be washed out and reused. Additionally if you search on line you can find recipes for homemade bait that by all accounts works very well My little experiment is certainly not going to pass the test of scientific rigor but it was enough for me to decide I'm not going to waste any more money on the far more expensive Zevo unit and it's refills (6 refills cost $20 on Amazon). For me the Terro traps are the way to go.

Every summer my apartment has a fruit fly problem. After getting some Raid traps and a week of no results I swapped to these. Almost a week with only two dead fruit flies with the other one and I've gotten two dead in the one night I've had these set up. I've always used these traps in the past and decided to try another brand and I can now say they got a lifelong customer out of me after comparing it. Give it a few days. It might not get all of them at once or get them slowly, but it will help manage the fruit fly population. Sometimes , very annoyingly, you will find fruit flies hanging around it rather than going in: but from my experience after leaving them out for a while i've come back to find them with nearly a dozen or so dead inside. Even if they don't kill them right away, they will help keep the fruit flies in a single location: consider moving where the trap is slightly to at least keep them contained away from sight. Folks, there's a reason you see these in public. It really helps!

UPDATE! After 4 days they took the bait. I am happy to say that this product works and I am pleased with my purchase…patience which I definitely ran out of. Does NOT work for Black Drain Gnats. I have a small kitchen and I set 6 traps with no results. Upon opening the solution which smells like apple cider vinegar the gnats came in close so I hurried and stepped away and watched as they landed but flew away without entering the trap. Today is the second day and if no results I will add more apple cider vinegar. Sadly, I may need to hire a professional IT WORKS! Give it some time. Fruit Flies or Drain Gnats are frustrating and annoying be patient lol unlike myself. I do recommend this product.

The traps themselves work well and have helped reduce the fruit flies around our office. I placed all six traps throughout the office and used one packet of lure liquid in each trap. The design is discreet, easy to set up, and effective at attracting fruit flies. However, I am disappointed with the lifespan of the lure. The product description suggests up to 270 days of lure supply, but that was not my experience. I purchased the traps on June 30, 2026, they were delivered on July 1, 2026, and when I checked them on July 29, 2026, all six traps were completely empty. That means the liquid lasted less than one month, not anywhere close to the advertised duration. I would still recommend the product because it does work, but buyers should be aware that they may need to purchase additional lure much sooner than expected. The traps are effective, but the longevity claim was disappointing and increased the overall cost of using the product.

These little traps definitely caught a lot of annoying fruit flies! I read the reviews before purchasing and some mentioned it taking a few days initially and that was accurate. Set them out and be patient and the fruit flies will get caught in them. The little clear windows on the sides and bottom are helpful for seeing how many flies they are capturing. The apple design is nice for helping them blend into the kitchen rather than standing out like the DIY water bottle contraption I made to catch them! They are very easy to install. Just pour the provided liquid into each apple and you’re all set to go! Would purchase again.

Super excited about this fruit fly product. I kept the bananas a little too long and fruit flys were everywhere. I tried this product and was pleasantly surprised at how effective it was. It looks like a small red apple and you are given the attractant solution to put into the apples. To those who have fruit flies in their sink you need another product which is made by the same company for your sink drain trap. It is called Terro Foam Drain Insect Killer which will get rid of the problem. Much less expensive than an exterminator and the apples are reusable. The refill solutions are available on Amazon. I would not put the apples within a child’s reach, if turned sideways the solution will come out. Apples come in 4,6 and 12 packs. Excellent product and value.

These traps work amazingly! Every summer I unfortunately get these tiny flies. They are extremely annoying. I got these traps to deal with the issue. The lure liquid smells awful, but to these pests, it’s a beacon. They fly into the trap and can’t get out. So no worries about them escaping. They are extremely effective and can be placed in discrete locations in the bathroom and kitchen. They are so effective that I had to buy more when the problem inevitably returned this summer.

Had a medium sized fruit fly infestation in my kitchen and used this to successfully get rid of all the flies within days, but I had to improvise an extra step. Here’s the thing: it works very well for attracting flies (I had several swarming near me the moment I opened the bait package), BUT the flies just don’t go into the holes! I watched them gather for like half an hour napping, mingling, even breeding on top of the apple.. it was like watching Fast Times in Fly High where they were doing everything EXCEPT actually falling into the trap. Sometimes they’ll crawl in then pop right back out. I waited overnight and still not a single fly dropped into the trap. If you keep waiting around, you’ll enable them to create a breeding ground and multiply. I wasn’t about to wait for up to a week like some reviewers suggested to see them POSSIBLY starting to drop into the trap. I ended up taking matters into my own hands, and recommend you do the same if you buy this. Here’s what I did: I rigged a clear plastic cup with this double sided sticky trap that I’d bought from Amazon some time back for like $5- the name is “Fruit Fly Traps Indoor Fungus Gnat Trap 48PCS for Plants Yellow Houseplants Outdoor Use Insect Sticky”. I’ll attach a picture for you to see what I’m talking about, but this was my makeshift capture tool. The idea is to just have some sort of cup or container lined with anything sticky enough to capture the flies. Every 30 minutes or so I’d check on the apple trap to see like 3-5 flies gathered on top, then I’d lower the cup upside down on top of the apple to trap the flies all within the cup. I’ll move the cup around in little circles to make them panic fly around until all of them are caught on one of the sticky traps inside the cup. The trick to catching them before they fly off is to move VERY slowly. After experimenting, I realized they don’t seem to perceive threats when you move anything towards them at a really slow pace. Just a side note I’m talking specifically about smaller fruit/drain flies, this trap isn’t for regular sized house flies. I did this every couple minutes throughout the day up until they finally stopped showing up altogether. That’s mostly it for this product, but I wanna share some additional steps and tips to make sure anyone reading eliminates their fly problem for good You’ll need to eliminate the source of the flies and any potential food source, often fruits/veggies you might be leaving out in the open. I heard stories of people finding some potato or veggie they forgot rotting away in some cabinet or basement when their flies kept coming back, so check thoroughly. In my case, it was my leftover taco Tuesday boxes I left out with a tray of jalapeños and limes I had in the open for half a day. From there they made their way to my trash can and trash bags I had lying around. Once I tossed all this out and took out my trash bags, they stopped multiplying, but I still had to deal with the 2-3 dozen flies already in the house. This is where the actual product comes in (see above) To make sure the flies don’t come back, wipe down your countertops and common places they tend to land to eliminate any eggs they might’ve laid. They’re especially known to lay eggs deep in your sink where just running water down won’t be enough. Flush your sink with baking soda + vinegar and boiling water (just boiling water is fine if you don’t have the other two). As a bonus step, leave a chunk of ice in the sink drain overnight to prevent them from getting in (I personally didn’t need this step) Btw the bait is just apple cider vinegar for those having problems with the refills not being enough. I accidentally spilled some and replaced it with my own stock of apple vinegar and got the same results. If using your own, you might also want to add a small drop of dish soap to break the surface tension to enable the flies to drown, at least that’s what online sources tell me I’ll give it a 4/5 stars since it’s cheap, I like the apple design, and it somewhat works. Taking off a star for the reasons mentioned with the flies not actually dropping into the hole (several swarmed on top, but not a single one dropped in after 2 whole days). Even though I had to improvise the capture method myself, I still had this product to thank for attracting all the flies, and ultimately I did get rid of all my fruit flies within a few days

Please don't purchase this product. Simply waste of money. I have not opened the seal then also they r not arranging for pick up.

This product doesn't seem to do anything, it's just a waste of money and you can't even return it for a refund.

I was upset that this product is more expensive than the competitors, and it didn’t wipe or attract anything

Use only minimum amount of liquid product, if you put too much seems to repel the purpose.
