Worth the hype
I was a bit sceptical paying this much for chalk, but after using TAOM V10 for a while I honestly wouldnโt go back. Grip is excellent and very consistent โ you donโt need to load the tip up, just a light application and it lasts. What really stands out though is how clean it is. Thereโs hardly any dust, no mess on the cloth, and no blue marks everywhere like you get with normal chalk. Our table stays noticeably cleaner. It also seems to last longer than standard chalk, which helps justify the price. The texture feels a bit different at first, but after a session or two you stop noticing and just enjoy the confidence it gives on shots. Yes, itโs expensive for chalk, but if you play regularly or care about your table and equipment, itโs absolutely worth it. I wonโt be going back to cheap cubes again.

Impressive chalk
Seems good so far. Played around 3 hours with it. No issues. Chalk does what it says, no stains on white ball. No chall residue falling on the snooker table.

Excellent quality, but as bit pricey
Excellent quality, probably the best chalk I've ever used and I have been playing both pool and snooker for more than 50 years. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was because I personally feel that the price is a bit high.

I was skeptical at first...
This chalk is amazing. Heads and shoulders better than Predator, Masters, Silver Cup, Triangle, and chinese no-names (of course). Predator and Masters are very messy (Predator the most messy), leaving chalk on the cue ball and on the table. I'm constantly chalking my tip with those. With this Taom chalk, I'm chalking maybe after 2-3 shots. Even after a hard draw shot (for example), I don't see any residue on the table or cue ball. Yes, the biggest drawback is the price. 5 pieces of Predator for $20 is a bargain compared to this. 12 pieces of Masters for $20 is an even better bargain. I'd say performance is about the same - considering if you're constantly chalking after every shot with Predator or Masters. It's just a question of how messy do you want things to get. I'm going to try Konllen chalks next, but I'm definitely not going back to Predator, Masters, etc for my personal cues.

Hands down, best chalk out there!
Creamy like application, goes on smooth. NO RESIDUE! When I say no residue, I mean NONE, not on my ferrule, hands, cue ball, or table. No teeth grinding, screeching sound. You do not need to chalk but every 3 or so shots, depending on how you are shooting. I typically apply before every shot, out of habit. Now it's more shooting, less chalking. Very rarely have I miscued with this chalk, If I have it's because of a failure on my part. I store mine in a metal holder with a top, as I use a magnetic pocket piece. When not in use, I will put in a zipped sandwich bag in my cue case to prevent any moisture or drying. Not that I have had this issue, just a personal preference. May seem pricey for one "cube", but it is well worth it. Because it doesn't go on very fine and gritty with a lot of fall off or residue, this chalk can last you 8 months or more. I play league and tournaments so I am using it at least 5 hours a day, 4 days a week! My husband has been a huge predator fan for quite some time, I have converted him. It only took one set and he was asking for me to order him some! A lot of shooting pool is in your head. You can have the best cue, best tip, everything... but if that chalk isn't there you're going to mess up or miss more shots than you make. I did not have to prep my tip or anything, it went on like a dream. I'll tell you all alike I did my husband, Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. You may even find a new favorite!
